Did you know that a diverse team can lead to more creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making in the tech industry? Despite progress in women's workforce participation, the number of women in tech remains stagnant. This is why it's crucial to shed light on women's challenges, opportunities, and experiences in tech - over 60 statistics do just that. Shockingly, the share of #womenintech is now lower than in 1984 at only 32%. Even more concerning is that the percentage of women in tech #leadership roles has fallen to 28% in 2023. It's no wonder 50% of women in tech roles leave them by age 35. A contributing factor could be that 32% of women in technical and engineering roles are the only women in the workroom. These statistics show us that there's still a long way to go to achieve #genderequality in the #techindustry.
