I’m excited to share a significant update from this past December when I first spotted a market opportunity that seemed unattainable for me alone. This gap in the podcast and broadcast studio furniture design and manufacturing sector initially seemed fleeting, especially as the holiday season approached, but it resurfaced strongly after my Christmas vacation. An internal nudge reminded me of this unexplored area. Despite having no background in furniture design or fabrication, the idea persisted, compelling me to consider how I might venture into this new field. The universe sometimes aligns in mysterious ways, and what some might call luck, others might see as preparation meeting opportunity. Returning from vacation, I fortuitously discussed this idea outside my house with my neighbor and friend Kyle Martin. This conversation unexpectedly led to an introduction to Clay Adams. Clay, who has designed and manufactured high-end furniture for venues like Mercedes Benz Stadium, Arthur Blank, and various sports franchises, showed interest partly due to his curiosity and my enthusiasm. The very next day, I contacted KandIce Kerstin Price from Broadcasters General Store, well-known in the broadcast industry. Our conversation centered around how Castlogix, LLC could address a void they were experiencing. Kandice’s positive reaction, fueled by her appreciation of our vision and Clay's extensive background, marked the beginning of a promising collaboration. Four months after these discussions, I'm thrilled to announce that Castlogix, LLC is now officially in business. We've nearly completed our product catalog and are actively receiving orders. We're also currently featured at BGS's booth at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas. Castlogix, LLC is poised to become a leader in designing and constructing modern, innovative furniture for broadcast, podcast, production, and music studios. Our capabilities extend to custom, modern office furniture, with several product lines already in development. This journey, which started from a simple idea, has been made possible by the support and trust from names like David Kerstin and Kandice Kerstin Price. With the combined expertise of Clay Adams in furniture design and manufacturing, a good friend’s engineering experience, and our fresh vision, Castlogix, LLC is excited to serve and innovate in this niche market. We are grateful for the partnerships and confidence in our team, and we look forward to bringing our unique furniture solutions to content creators everywhere. This is just the beginning for Castlogix, LLC, and we are eager to meet and exceed the creative needs of our clients.

The weather over the weekend provided the perfect backdrop for exploring Oklahoma City. As I ventured out, I couldn't help but notice the exciting developments underway and on the horizon for OKC. What sets Oklahoma City apart is its commitment to those who invest in its growth. Our tax dollars are being put to work to build new stadiums for the OKC Thunder and OKC Energy FC, while private developers are embarking on projects like The Oak and The Citizen. Coming from the outdoor media industry, I strongly believe that brands should consider investing more in cities like OKC. Rather than viewing outdoor advertising as merely promoting products, cities should recognize it as an opportunity for companies to contribute to the vitality and progress of the community through brand marketing and branded murals. This form of marketing allows a brand's values to align with the city's values as it evolves and grows. OKC is undoubtedly a Big League City, and I urge Big League brands to genuinely invest in its community, recognizing that a city's greatness lies in the support of its citizens. For those interested, here's a glimpse of some of the exciting developments happening in OKC in 2024: https://lnkd.in/eWqhatKY

Interior Designer, Creative Thinker, Certified Mentor and Author ✍️ I curate content, environments and experiences that promote togetherness, meaningful gathering, strong sense of community and connection 🤝
Can design strengthen community ties and create positive experiences? Yes. As an interior designer, I think about this all the time when I create gathering spaces for #multifamily tenants. I'm also hugely interested in the intersection of urban design and community building. Sports venues are certainly one example of the shift away from single focus/activity toward integrated neighborhoods designed to connect and support local communities. #communitybuilding #gatheringspaces #designmatters #designtrendThursday ps. Deer District, Milwaukee Bucks or City of Milwaukee weren't mentioned in this article (too bad) -- but they did use a photo of Deer District/beer garden -- so we will take that. https://lnkd.in/gAv2HvP4

Branded Content Expert | Story-Driven Producer & Director | Crafting Authentic Stories That Resonate & Convert
The lines between advertorial and editorial are blurrier now than ever - and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. This article on Salon.com about my latest project, “Zillow Gone Wild,” on #HGTV, is truly insightful and focuses on the nuance of art meeting advertising. As an Executive Producer and Director, brand integration has ALWAYS been part of the process of making a show. From my earliest days on the hit TLC series "Trading Spaces," we integrated #Swiffer Wet Jets with a clean-up moment before the reveal and filmed shopping trips to #HomeDepot. The brand integration on “Zillow Gone Wild” was different. How do we, as producers, pay homage to the popular social media IP of the same name, tend to the series DNA that HGTV’s audience expects, and also incorporate the fun (and thrill!) of scrolling for homes on #Zillow? In my opinion, this series is the perfect example of how art can seamlessly meet commerce in this #marketing and #media age. Audiences are game for brands to be overtly involved in the entertainment they consume—as long as you make it a fun ride that they can’t stop watching. Juggling all of those variables was a deliciously fun challenge. I had a blast romping around the US with the ever-kind and positive Jack McBrayer, filming and touring these homes, and working with the team to bring this series, with its gamified play-along approach, to life. https://lnkd.in/gsj6aWt9

Big day today. We just signed a lease on a 2,500-square-foot studio space. I’ve been dreaming about this since I was 16. It's the reality my team and I have been building towards for 8 years. And it’s FINALLY happening. This is just one step closer to positioning us as one of the top ad creative agencies in the UK. We're going to have more room for: - Custom sets - More in-house content - Higher-quality video content Why now? Honestly, I didn't have a revenue goal for this move. I was waiting for the right time. And we knew it was time to act when we realized we had outgrown our current space and the right location became available. We knew we had to invest more to open up future opportunities. BUT. One of the biggest advice I can give anyone looking to make a similar move is: Don’t run before you can walk. We didn’t jump into this right away. We spent years in a smaller space, market-proofing our product and offer before committing to something like this. You want to avoid locking yourself into a five-year lease if your business is a flash in the pan. You also don't need to force a big office or studio, especially if you don't need it. My goals have always been realistic and aligned with where I want to be in five years, not where I THINK I should be. For us, this space is a stepping stone to more opportunities, And it’s designed to grow with us. Super excited to share more updates as we settle in. I am going to be filming and posting the refurb on my YouTube and here. Get ready for some mad content.
