Have you ever stood on a bridge and wondered if it’s more than just a structure—if it holds a deeper meaning about life itself? A few days ago, while travelling, I found myself crossing a bridge over a quiet river. The river wasn’t brimming with water, but it had a peaceful charm. As I paused to take in the view, I realized something profound: a bridge isn’t just about crossing over; it’s about connecting. It struck me how much we rely on connections in life. We want to connect with people to form connections, with situations to discover meaning, with nature to feel grounded, and with ourselves to figure out who we really are. Without these connections, life feels unfinished, like puzzle pieces that don't fit together. Standing there, I reflected on the metaphorical bridges in my life—the moments and relationships that have helped me bridge gaps, overcome obstacles, and find purpose. They've taught me that connections are the cornerstone of everything—our development, pleasure, and ability to progress. That bridge reminded me of the necessity of creating and cherishing connections, whether with others, the world around us, or our own selves.
