Are You Collaborating? Yesterday, I went to the Vegan Playground in the Arts District of Los Angeles. I have been to this collection of vegan food trucks a number of times before but yesterday was different. First, the location was not where I had typically been going. Secondly, the food trucks that were there were all new to me. New location + New food trucks = Success. Why? Because they collaborated with each other to post about the event. If one truck had posted about it then it would have been missed. Beyond each food truck posting about the event, there is a vegan playground account that amplifies the voices of each of these food trucks. This creates an environment where the public can learn who is going to be at the event. From there, they can learn about the food truck and what they will be serving. In the past three years, I have seen the most successful campaigns that run through Run Tri Bike have a collaborative effort. We run the campaign based on their lead and focus on their goals to bring attention to their product/service. We amplify their message so when the user goes to their page the message is in unison. When companies work together the path to success is easier to manage. Did you know, yesterday was World Nutella Day? In one of my previous posts, I wrote about the Napoleon and Nutella connection (check the first comment). On World Nutella Day, as your resident quriosity nerd, here are some other cooler facts I discovered: - Peter Czerwinski holds the record for being the fastest person to finish a Nutella jar. He finished it in 2 minute 31 seconds! - Nutella jars have a child lock. With this information I learnt, even jars need baby proofing. - There is a Nutella curse for sportsmen in Germany. Whenever the brand signed upcoming sportsmen, their careers were affected by the chocolate spread. The only people known to have survived the curse were Manuel Neuer and Mesut Özil. - Approximately, 100,000 tons of hazelnuts are needed to make Nutella each year, making it almost one-fourth of the world’s Nutella produce. - World Nutella Day was actually started by the blogger Sara Rosso in 2007, and not the company itself. Today, I want to share something that put a huge smile on our faces—a handwritten note from one of our youngest fans. It's not just any note; it’s his list of approved snacks for school, and guess what made the list? Our Brown Mushrooms Vegami, or as he calls it, "vegetarian bologna." Honestly, I'm not sure what makes me more proud: making it onto TIME's Best Inventions list or landing on a middle schooler's approved snacks list? Maybe the latter. We didn't initially design Vegami with kids in mind, but it turns out they might be some of our biggest fans. And thinking about it, one of our toughest taste testers was my 5-year-old daughter. Before we could move forward, every batch had to get her nod (or, rather, her joyful munching approval). So why do kids love Vegami? Maybe it’s the simple, clean ingredients that, as parents, make us feel good, too. Or perhaps it's the savory, satisfying taste that fits perfectly in a school lunchbox—next to the edamame and a handful of grapes. Last weekend, we caught our daughter pretending to run her own farmer's market stand, selling Vegami to her stuffed animals. Her pitch? "It's yummy and makes you happy!" Out of the mouths of babes, right? 💚 We’re not just making food but creating moments that families can feel good about. Moments of joy, health, and a lot of yum. P.S. My current project - Sharing Nuevo Garcia Foods with my platforms to generate interest in their frozen meals at Sprouts Farmers Market stores! Working with food based brands can often feel daunting because I don’t have a huge, aesthetic kitchen BUT I’ve found that my audience connects more with brands I share in my everyday life compared to those I share with high aesthetic filming. For this collaboration I focused on sharing how I genuinely used Garcia Foods frozen meals to get a high protein and healthy lunch made for myself during a busy day.
