🫀This week our team took a trip to London for the annual iCARE4CVD consortium meeting 🇬🇧. This €22M Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) funded project – led by Maastricht University and Novo Nordisk - is working on personalising prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Through a unique collaboration of 34 renowned public-private partners from civil society, academia and industry, iCARE4CVD will create a database with data from more than 1 million patients and use artificial intelligence to find new strategies that can shift from a one-size-fits-all approach to personalised care in cardiovascular disease. We are proud project partners delivering project management and science communication for the full duration of iCARE4CVD, which runs until March 2028. In attendance at the meeting were Mafalda Antunes Ferreira, Carolina Vieira, Coralie Zurstrassen, Annemartijn Koning, Christopher Kruger Carolina Vieira, Managing Consultant Science Communication, commented: "It’s a privilege to be part of this extraordinary consortium and to witness the collaborative spirit driving innovation in cardiovascular prevention and treatment! 🐐 €12.5M to develop new biopharmaceuticals at drastically reduced cost! In their recently awarded EIC Accelerator project, Bio-Sourcing will develop biosimilars with their innovative BioMilk platform, which uses gene therapy and reproductive technologies to produce biopharmaceuticals in the milk of specialised goats. Bio-Sourcing is on a mission to make biotherapeutics available, affordable and sustainable. Bertrand Mérot, CEO, remarked on the significance of their EIC award: “This recognition is extremely important for Bio-Sourcing, not only in terms of funding but above all in terms of brand awareness.
