Don’t blindly rely on big implementation partners for D365 F&O. If you do, you risk: → Shortcomings in the solution → Unskilled consultants → Poor quality deliverables Remember, in an ERP implementation, the partner's interests often don't align with yours. So, what's a better solution? Rely on third parties who are more motivated to ensure your success. For example: A contractor with project experience A boutique consultancy company Why? A contractor needs to be exceptional to get their contract extended. A small consultancy can't just inflate their days because “the client is invested now and can't back out.” Both are more motivated to deliver great value. Is this always true? I’ve spoken to a few people lately who are actively looking for D365 F&O opportunities and who have very relevant experience but whose LinkedIn profiles/resumes weren’t doing them justice. One person I spoke with has been heavily involved in Dynamics AX and D365 F&O for around 5 years and had transitioned from a Supply Chain Manager role to an internal D365 F&O Supply Chain SME, but there was no mention of this or of D365 F&O in his profile.   If you’re actively looking for a new D365 F&O role, here are some tips on how to ensure your LinkedIn profile/resume stand out and you don't miss out on potential opportunities:   ✅ Include D365 F&O as a keyword as much as possible - in your headline, your job title, the About, Experience and Skills sections, etc. This is what will stand out to recruiters/hiring managers and ensure your profile comes up in their search ✅ Include information on the projects you’ve been involved in - for example, if you’ve been working on an implementation of D365 F&O, include details on the project and your specific responsibilities ✅ Be specific on which modules you’ve worked with and which areas of the business you’ve supported ✅ Make sure your headline and job title are up-to-date - for example, if you’re a Production Manager, Controller, etc. who has transitioned into an internal D365 F&O Business Analyst or SME role, make sure your profile reflects this   If you’re actively looking for D365 F&O roles and you'd like to hear more about what we're working on, drop me a message to set up a call!

I've written on our website that we're specialists in solving D365 F&O functional issues. Ok, but what exactly is a "functional issue"? Simply put, it's whenever a company is not realising value from their D365 F&O solution and this is negatively impacting business operations.
