What is reflected in this story in the #utilities sector is an emerging risk that was foreseen more than a decade ago given the average age of the linemen. Given the amount of time that a 'lineman' has to spend in training, the call for new apprentices should have started 15 years ago. That is behind us and it now seems that there are increasing number of people applying. It is one of the risks that continues to be top-of-mind as the industry reinvents itself. "Previously, I was working in the construction field with solar PV technology. I found out there was a chance to improve my skillset and help create a better future by working in this industry. At first, I was nervous about meeting the team and other apprentices. However, my previous experience with solar PV technology means I can now help my teammates and fellow apprentices!" ✅ What plans do you have once you complete your training? "In the short term, my plan is to become more experienced and skilled. Long term, I'd love to get to a senior level and move into project management." 💡 What have you enjoyed the most about Hydrogen Safe's training?
