Earlier this week, we shared a mid-year update on the top priorities identified by Global Heads of Talent and Learning in 2024. Once again, I think the data shows something unique and important for us in L&D: business problems are still the priority, not tech for tech's sake. Leadership, Skills, and Culture are all key issues on par with or above AI. Not that AI isn't surging in importance, but it remains a means to an end, not an end in itself. I've been aggregating and analysing these stats now for three years for iVentiv and in that time I've only become more convinced about how important it is that we do so. It helps us to keep our events as relevant as possible, first and foremost, but it also gives us a unique perspective on the actual work being done by Global Heads. Not the work we think they should do or the work they think they might be doing in the future, but the real business problems they're tackling today. I put together a short blog about the numbers so far this year, with some quotes from the surveys to illustrate, and I'll be excited to show off the full year's report later in 2024. After 15 years in consulting, I began questioning traditional practices that hadn't changed, despite the rise of Big Data. Meeting Maurice NDiaye and Yannis Kavounis who had successfully piloted an AI-driven approach to strategy, convinced me that this is the future. At D&M, I found a diverse environment that fits my African childhood, traveler mindset, and feminist values. 🔹 What is your proudest achievement at D&M? In the past two years, we've built a cohesive team, developed a strong product value proposition, and implemented efficient processes. I’m proud of what we've accomplished together and excited for the future! 🔹 And besides your career, do you have any hobbies? I used to spend my free time backpacking and doing sports. Recently, I’ve rediscovered the joy of building Lego towers and marveling at my toddler's pranks! 🔹 What are some insights you’ve gained that you wish you knew earlier?
