Once again this year, the employees of Caterpillar Energy Solutions in Mannheim, Germany, and of two MWM Service-Centers launched the “Wish Tree” campaign. 🎄 The campaign collected gifts to fulfill the Christmas wishes of children from the St. Josef Children's Home and the Schiffer Children's Home in Mannheim. On December 11, the two Caterpillar Energy Solutions trainees Marco Weber and Iven Keller made their way to the children's homes to hand over the presents so that they would reach the children in time for Christmas. Many thanks to all Caterpillar Energy Solutions employees who took part in this special Christmas campaign! 🎁

The university is thankful to have so many wonderful corporate and foundation partners, both locally and nationally. We have many partnerships with local companies including MSA, North Country Brewing, ARCO, Interstate Chemical, Hammertech, and Butler Tourism - just to name a few. These organizations help support our students and programming, providing financial gifts and student experiences that will help our students grow, both in, and out, of the classroom. We’re excited to announce the launch the “Dreamz Unlimited” Training Project, a CSR initiative in collaboration with MyLittleBit Foundation (Sanmitra Trust). The project equips deserving college students with essential skills through an Integrated Skill Development Program with Placement Services, bridging the gap between education and employment. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we’ve donated 20 refurbished computers to set up computer labs in two colleges, promoting eco-friendly learning and preventing e-waste. This initiative is set to impact 1,000 students in FY 2024-25, contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for education and environmental responsibility.

At Valen Power Engineering we've begun 2025 with a real focus on sustainability. Prior to Christmas, we were kindly sponsored by Siemens to enroll on the Heart of the City programme which aims to support small businesses improve buisness practices and become more sustainable. Action we've taken so far includes: - Measuring our carbon footprint to establish a baseline for a carbon reduction strategy to reduce our environmental impact - Employed our first Electrical Power Engineering Apprentice, Jasen Whiting , who will embark on his formal training course with EA Technology this week to help develop a sustainable workforce - Signing up as a sponsor to the THE AVRO HERITAGE TRUSTs support fund that facilitates transport for school and youth group visits that would otherwise have difficulties visiting the museum, supporting both education and key local heritage. - Becoming National living wage certifified employer to demonstrate our commitment to fair employment practices.

It feels like just yesterday that the relationship between Gridserve Ltd. and Reach Academy Feltham began. Years later, we’re proud to continue supporting this thriving academy, its new sister school Reach Academy Hanworth Park, and The Reach Foundation, all of whom are deeply committed to creating opportunities for children. During the summer break, we had the pleasure of speaking with Ed Vainker to hear his thoughts on Gridserve since we started working together back in 2018.
