Very early in my stay in Hawai'i last August, I taped a podcast titled The Brand Called You, with Ashutosh Garg. You can see how tired, nervous and hot I was taping that show. Plus, my hair needed colored in the worst kind of way! Luckily, I was able to pull it off and answer Mr. Garg's questions about my experience being Funk's campaign manager for mayor by default, and to recall the "down and dirty" happenings during his tenure as mayor. Funk always blindsides me, pulling me into things that I have no intention of being pulled into. It must be so nice to always get what you want and without asking! Hello connections, On the weekend, I explored the ideas of #JohnAdams, the reverend second President of the United States and a brilliant man who was also a fine leader of the American Revolution. I came across a quote by him that I found particularly persuading: "I studied politics and war so that my sons could study mathematics, commerce, and agriculture, so that their sons could study poetry, painting, and music." These words strike my consciousness about the impact of our choices on the coming generations. It is a must to remember that we have the power to shape the world we live in and create a better future for those who come after us. Hence from my end, it is highly recommended to read more about #JohnAdams and his contributions to American history.
