“Why Should I support Catholic World Mission?” There are a ton of charities in the world. Why support Catholic World Mission? ✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️ The Catholic World Mission difference: 1. Unlike a lot of large nonprofits, we don’t partner with foreign governments. That means we have no limitations on evangelization and living our Catholic values. 2. Unlike a lot of large nonprofits, we partner directly with priests and nuns in the poorest communities. That allows us to find local solutions to local problems. 3. Unlike a lot of large nonprofits, we make a point to provide updates on our projects. It’s important that our supporters understand how they are making an impact! 4. Unlike a lot of large nonprofits, we encourage self sufficiency by insisting on community engagement. We believe in a hand up - not a handout. 5. Unlike a lot of large nonprofits, we believe in uplifting families from BOTH material AND spiritual poverty. Want to join our Catholic World Mission family and live your Faith today? All our hearts are shattering as we watch so much violence and suffering around the world. We know that this can feel overwhelming, justifiably outraged and leave us feeling helpless and struggling with our own privilege. But we know that there is always something we can do when we come together. In a world of bombs, walls and borders, Love is the bridge keeping us connected to our shared humanity and each other. Love is power. Love is radical. We can always Choose Justice, Choose Solidarity and Choose Love. Here are some ideas of actions you can take: 📌Read up on the current crises and their historical roots. Talk to people about what you learn. Education is power. 📌Donate to Choose love and our local community based organisations (or donate to them directly!) 📌Write to your elected officials and demand the change you want to see in the world.

Did you know that over 38,000 young people aged 15–24 years presented alone to a homelessness service in 2022–23? Of these young people, almost half experienced mental ill-health, and over one-third experienced domestic and family violence. Most of these young people needed short- or long-term accommodation, and most were turned away due to a lack of capacity. These statistics only scratch the surface of issues that young people experiencing homelessness face. To have statistics like this in a country like Australia is not acceptable; together, we can have a tangible impact, and now is the time to act. #wehavetodobetter #YHMD
The Property Industry Foundation is proud to support Youth Homelessness Matters Day. You can make a difference by donating an hour of your pay in the lead-up to or on April 17th. Your generosity can change lives. Your contribution will not only help raise awareness about youth homelessness but also provide crucial support to programs and initiatives dedicated to addressing this pressing issue. Together, let's make a difference. Donate an hour of pay today>> give.pif.com.au/event/yhmd #YouthHomelessnessMatters #DonateYourHour #forhomelessyouth #propertyindustryfoundation #homeless #youth #charity
