The Journal of Emergency Nursing has recently updated its blog to focus more broadly on the meaningful moments that occur in the emergency care setting. The Journal’s goal for this blog is to capture experiences in emergency care that positively impact emergency nurses or the patients and communities they serve. The Meaningful Moments in Emergency Nursing blog offers a story-telling forum for perspectives on emergency nursing to share impactful moments. You can find the JEN blog exclusively on the Journal of Emergency Nursing website, jenonline.org. It focuses on first-person narrative essays, art, or poetry reflecting the human emotion and experiences of emergency nurses and the people they accompany in care. This non-peer-reviewed blog allows emergency nurses, colleagues, and patients to share moments and events that touched them in emergency care settings. Submissions to the blog should be fewer than 1,000 words. Stories about patients require consent, and no identifiable information is allowed. If you are interested in sharing a meaningful moment, please contact the JEN Blog Editors: Holly Cook MSN, RN, TNS, CEN or Casey Green MSN, RN, RRNA, CCRN-CMC, CTRN, CFRN, CEN, TCRN, CPEN, CNRN, NRP at BlogofJEN@gmail.com.
