A few weeks ago, I completed a Franklin Covey training that shared a mantra that Leadership is a Choice not a Position. Today I want to celebrate these 6 talented individuals that made several ⭐ CHOICES ⭐ over the last 2-years as participants of Great Wolf's Management Development Program.   🗺 Choosing to Embrace Change: Opting for a program requiring multiple relocations, often far from loved ones, was a difficult but conscious choice they embraced with purpose. 💗 Choosing Growth Over Obstacles: Every challenge faced was an opportunity for learning and building a resilient growth mindset. ⏲ Choosing Extra Effort: Going beyond the basics by investing extra time in training, projects, and developmental activities. 📣 Choosing Feedback for Growth: Actively seeking and accepting feedback was a choice made to support personal and professional growth. 🌟 Choosing Transformation: From first-time leaders to the inspiring leaders you are today, every transformation was a result of daily choices.   Congratulations, Colin DeVico, Collin Brickner, Dayanna Fuller, Michaela Salt, Seth Workman, and Tyler Moreno, CHIA!   Your journey exemplifies the profound impact of intentional choices in leadership development. We had such an amazing time at our Quartly Town Hall at The Ben Hotel! Sometimes, amidst our busy schedules, we overlook the importance of having FUN, bonding with each other, and reveling in our achievements. But not at Concord Hospitality Enterprises as FUN is one of our Cornerstones! One highlight of our recent town hall was theming it around the infectious energy of our GM, Bernardo Neto, and his trademark 'Bernardoisms'! Whether it's "You've gone down a Rabbit Hole," "I've gone down a Rabbit Hole," or our recent favorite, "This is America, I was told anything is possible," these phrases never fail to bring a smile to our faces and remind us to infuse FUN into everything we do. Let's make sure to never lose sight of the FUN, the passion, and the camaraderie that make our workplace truly special. Chick-Fil-A consulted with a team from Ritz-Carlton to craft their classic “My pleasure” and standards for hospitality. We don’t have to re-invent the wheel - if you’re looking to upgrade performance in some area, there’s zero shame in copying the best to do it. Heck, it’s probably worth it to pay them to teach you directly. There’s no clear way to quantify the ROI from that consulting engagement, but I think it’s safe to say it’s paid off in spades.

Summer is coming….. I’ve spent a lot of time and energy connecting with folks who work in #manufacturing specifically those in Eastern Wisconsin. If you’ve been getting messages from me recently this post is for you. Summer is the perfect time to tell your employees you appreciate the work they do. It’s a great time to get everyone outside to breathe in some fresh air and feel some sunshine on their skin. I want to help you with that. Our survival is a testament to hard work, and I learned my work ethic in Wisconsin - where we WORK. We work hard because not working hard hardly seems worth it. Your employees work hard because their is pride in a job well done. Hard work should make you tired. Hard work should make you hungry. My homemade meals for workers speak appreciation for craft. When you want to say thank you with food, drink, and fun I’ll work my hardest to make sure your folks feel it. I don’t know how not to.
