POW/MIA Day On the third Friday of every September, we observe POW/MIA Day, a solemn occasion dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of prisoners of war (POW) and service members who are missing in action (MIA). Officially recognized since 1998, this day serves as a reminder of the bravery and resilience of those who endured captivity and those whose whereabouts remain unknown. Ways to Commemorate: 1. Attend Local Events: Participate in or support ceremonies and memorial services dedicated to POWs and MIAs. 2. Learn Their Stories: Educate yourself about the experiences and sacrifices of POWs and MIAs. 3. Um, UNRWA, Important to remember that the 'Catastrophe' (nakba) was the fact that the invading Arab Armies didn't kill every Jew in Israel. This is what was promised by the Arab leaders to the Palestinians of Arab decsent, and that is why they left their homes. The Catastrophe ends when the 'Palestinian' people actually choose a government that treats them as humans, with value (aside from as a sacrifice). You UNRWA, are supposed to be helping them with this, why aren't you? As soon as hamas massacred Israelis on October 7th, you should have assisted innocent Gazan civilians to temporarily flee across the Egyptian border, one temporary move, completely out of the conflict area. Why didn't you do this? International Humanitarian Law required Egypt to allow innocent Gazan civilians to temporarily flee across the Egyptian border. Why didn't you use even a single message asking that they comply? Who are you actually trying to protect? It sure isn't the 'Palestinian' children.

This war is neither between jews and palestiniens, nor is it between christains and muslems, considering the fact that about 20% of the Israeli polution are muslems ! It is a war imposed upon Israel by the Axes of Evil ! The realities that have unfolded during the past year prove that Israel , an island Surrounded by an ocean of terroristes, was sitting on a time bombe ! Israel is fortunate to have the type of Prime Minister who is " taking the blows" so that future générations can have a peaceful and prosporious futur... International law provides the right to self-determination and that to distroy terrior to it's roots and origine . Israel is in self-defence and has committed no war crime. Yes there was and is a génocide committed against innocent Israeli since a year ago... Lebanon's self-inflicted war can not be a Subject for debat because a country that is taken over by a terroriste organisation is a failed state that only colonisation can remedate... The United Nations and all civilized nations should have supported the United States diplomatic efforts for the Lebanese people to take control of their own country... Stop attacking civilians! The ICJ judgement is clear. There is no future for Israel based on the narrative of its radicals.... anyone who claimed or wants to claim new territory exclusively for themselves will only find eternal war, violence and destruction, whereas the moderates at both sides hold the key to peace by non-violent interaction and dialog. The only way out of the conflict is thus to learn to live together as equals and to share the country as one union. Practically, it means in my opinion to go back to the times of Canaan and establish (democratic) autonomous local communities and flexibly spread them over the entire territory of Canaan. These autonomous communities can coexist and come together in two confederations of communities (nations), an Israeli and a Palestinian one, both sharing the country as a union, this is a hybrid outcome with elements of both a two- and a one-state solution. There is space for all cultural identities this way without any minority versus majority issues. Currently, such scenario seems very far fetched, but, the Israelis and Palestinians belong to Canaan and nobody outside is waiting for an(other) exodus of any of the two. www.canaan.community & www.pax.ngo & www.convergence.ngo
