Keeping commitments to employees has become more challenging and somewhat controversial in 2024. Especially with all of the uncertainty facing employers, boards and investors. In an election year where global politics have mirrored the polarization occurring across party lines, communities and often within our own families, taking a collective pause feels like a luxury. I'd like to thank the leaders at Procore Technologies for giving their employees that luxury. Wellness Week at Procore is a company wide initiative aimed to give employees, across the globe, time off during the summer months, to spend it as they see fit and recharge. Without the piling up of work that typically looms large upon return. As I and many other Procore employees re-entered the work week last week, I was buoyed by all the pictures, stories and gratitude expressed by my colleagues, here on LinkedIn and internally in our Life At Procore messaging channel. Personally, during my time off I was able to accomplish many of the goals I'd set. Like, increasing the production rate of each charm bracelet made and pool smashball rally recorded with my goddaughter. I did A/B testing on soliciting the biggest smiles I could from my grand niece and nephews. I reduced the hours spent on my phone by maximizing face time with dear friends. And I paused to appreciate the things that bind us rather than scrolling the "social feeds" that divide us. Without the luxury of a collective break, I wouldn't have been able to achieve these impressive results. Procore employees around the world are preparing for Wellness Week 2024! Next week, you’ll find us at the beach, climbing mountains, sailing boats, spending time with family and friends – or maybe even just on the couch. Anywhere but at our desks. We introduced Wellness Week in 2022 to show employee appreciation and acknowledge that we all need time to take care of our physical and mental well-being. Please excuse us while we disconnect from work and reconnect with ourselves the first week of July. *Please note: We will have a small number of employees keeping the lights on during Wellness Week. These Procorians will be able to enjoy their fully paid week off a little later on in the year. We are very appreciative of them for their commitment to our customers. #LifeAtProcore
