Charity golf day – Money Board - $1000 up for grabs. Hi All, Intending to try and exceed the amount of money raised for our charity to last year, we are trying some different things. One of those things is a money board. Typically done in person, but we thought would try to do it, or at least start it online. Doing so will provide an opportunity for our event supporters who can’t make it to the golf day to still support it. 💲1000 up for grabs for the winner and 💲1000 💵💵💵💵 raised for our charity, The Mens Shed Townsville. How good is that!! Early Bird Sales: ▶ interested in purchasing numbers for the money board can contact Tony via email (tony@cbrpowerservices.com) or phone (0439361610). ▶ Numbers will be tentatively allocated upon initial inquiry, with payment pending. ▶ If payment is not received within 48 hours, the allocated number(s) will become available again. ▶ Remaining numbers will be sold on the golf day itself. Drawing and Prize Presentation: ▶ The plan is to draw the money board after the golf day during the prize presentations. ▶ If there are still a significant number of tickets outstanding by that time, the draw may be deferred until all tickets are sold. Communication: ▶ While doing this remotely can introduce some challenges we will aim to negate this by providing updates regularly as to the progress of the sales and post photos showing available numbers. If there are any questions or concerns please call Tony at any time.

As a first time golf tournament organizer (and perhaps even a first time golfer!) it can sometimes feel overwhelming trying to learn the ins-and-outs of the game, let alone a great golf event. And when you’re dealing with terms you’ve never heard of before, from “Shotgun Start” to “Live Scoring” – it can be easy to feel lost in translation! That's why we've collected and defined the top 27 terms every charity golf tournament organizer should know, and even take it one step further by telling you how they can apply to your upcoming tournament. Follow the link to read about these key terms: https://loom.ly/UNjA6A8 #GolfTournament #GolfTournamentPlanning #EventPlanning #Golf #GolfTerms #CharityGolf #GolfEvent

Charity golf outings miss the ball when it comes to maximizing your fundraising. Today I had the privilege of talking with a board member of a local nonprofit. He was sharing with me about his golf outing woes. His organization was having a hard time seeing past event based fundraising, as a result they've not been moving toward major gift fundraising. Here are a few of the things he said to me: "People want to give, but they don't like golf, so they don't give!" "People miss the event, and all I've done is tell them, 'I hope you make it next year!'" "Our event makes about $15,000, but nearly all of it is from a single person, and he usually gives away the things he buys. He doesn't care about the auction or the event, he just wants to give." So I said to this board member: "Why don't you cancel next years golf outing and go meet with the fellow who is responsible for all the giving. Instead of wasting 60 hours planning your event, take 2 hours to have a meal with this donor. In the meeting, thank him for all of his giving in the past, explain to him why you are no longer doing the event, and ask him if you could talk with him about a 5 year pledge in the 6-7 figure range. You will get more money in those 2 hours than you did in 60 hours on that golf tournament." This is what fundraising coaching does. It helps you see the blind spots in your strategies and approaches, and make better use of your time. Fundraising coaching isn't cheap, but it's certain to make you far more money than it costs. If you are ready to make the transition to a better approach to fundraising make an appointment today! https://lnkd.in/d8JvQu_8 #majorgiftmastery #fundraising #nonprofit #philanthropy

Here is to 10 more great years
Wow, 10 years today The Running Charity became a registered charity, we tend not to look back as an organisation or a team, focused firmly on the young people, where they are going and how we can support them. But days like this are important to mark. As a charity we have pioneered and paved the way, demonstrating the power of running to reach in and raise up the lives of people that much of society and sport had turned their back on. There are so many people we need to thank but we wanted more than anything to thank the 1000s of young people who have put one foot in front of the other to be better than the hand they were dealt and build a better life for themselves. From the first group who designed it with us to those of you who are just starting their journey now, we are so proud to be with you by your side. Over the next year, we will be creating, crafting and celebrating this milestone with this beautiful community, stay tuned, stay running, and keep caring! If you want to be part of leading the run and transforming both the running community and those most in need of its transformative power, then get in touch.

🧩✨ #AutismAwareness Top 36 Golf Course Rankings: Post 24 - Course #13⛳️ 🧩 💰 DONATE - Please help us get there by donating $36 today: https://lnkd.in/e4MFcQfd To represent the 1 in 36 kids affected by Autism in the US, I will be counting down my Top 36 Golf Courses that I have ever played with a short story/memory for each. If you could please consider donating $36 (or more) to Els for Autism via the link above, I would appreciate it ❤️ Golf Course #13 - Yeamans Hall Club Is it possible to capture the beauty, history, and vibe of an entire state into a single golf course? For the state of South Carolina, I believe Yeamans Hall does just that. Sitting just 12 miles from downtown Charleston and designed by one of my favorites, Seth Raynor, in 1924, Yeamans Hall sits on land that used to be the site of a 17th century plantation owned by the Yeamans family. When the country club was founded, it was built to attract wealthy northern financial men to Charleston in the fall and winter with 200-300 house sites. Today, it continues to be a successful private club with what I imagine to be one of the toughest waiting lists to add your name to in the country. What makes Yeamans Hall my favorite in South Carolina? People have asked me when making this list what criteria I’ve used, and it really comes down to three things: 1) The feeling you have when playing it, 2) How well you can remember each hole after the round, and 3) How badly you want to tee it up again on #1 after tapping in on #18. Maybe I’m biased because I grew up in SC, but for me, I’ve never played a course which puts me in a calmer/happier mental state and one where I want to tee it up again on #1 after I’m finished than Yeamans. It’s just such a fun course to play! If you have had the pleasure of playing it, I’m curious to hear if you enjoyed it as much as me ⛳️

Join The Movement! As Whitefield Youth Association Enters 2024 This Will Mean 22 Years Of Delivering Service Provision Across The Communities Of Burnley & Pendle! Initially Set Up As A Community Voluntary Group In 2002 And Then Becoming A Fully Fledged UK Registered Charity Since 2010, It Has Worked With Well Over 5000 Children, Young People And Adults Since First Establishing. Since 2018 It Has Been Running All Its Operational Delivery Through Self-Generated Income With Very Minimal Grant Support – It Has Received No Local, Regional Or Government Support For Over A Decade And Yet It Is Still Here Demonstrating Determination, Grit And Resilience To Continue To Be Able To Deliver. At The Beginning Of This Financial Year The Charity Was Looking To Recruit 50 Businesses To Help Pay Towards The Core Costs Of Operating The Charity – These Efforts Will Be Intensified As Only 50% In Total Have So Far Been Secured – This Will Enable Whitefield To Be Able To Continue To Deliver Service Provision. Substantial Investment Has Come Within Burnley & Pendle Through All The Government Funding That Is Allocated By Local And Regional Authorities As Well As Large Funding Bodies Such As The National Lottery But The Key Question To Ask Is What Has Changed? Apart From The Local Charities Or Council Employees Keeping Their Jobs What Real Impact Is Being Made? Are The Local Disadvantaged Communities Being Used As Cash Cows And Not Being The Correct Tools To Become More Aspirational And Less Reliant Upon Funding – That Is The Key Question? Our Charity Places Responsibility On All It Engages With, It Encourages All To Take Ownership Of Their Situation And Look At Pathways Of Improving It Which In Turn Improves Not Only Themselves But Also The Wider Community – Create Aspirational Communities With Ambition And Belief Who Take Self Responsibility Of Themselves And Their Communities. If You Or Your Business Would Like To Become Part Of Our Journey Please Direct Message And We Can Have A Discussion, Your Sponsorship Will Be Spent Directly In The Communities That It Operates Within With Minimal Management Costs – Make Your Hard Earned Money Actually Make A Real Difference In The Communities Your Businesses Operate Within.
