According to the group's CEO, Rui Miguel Nabeiro, this archipelago has “very favourable conditions" for “extremely high quality" production. He added: "Europe, one of the biggest consumers, didn't produce coffee, and now it has become possible to produce coffee in Europe." 🌍 This achievement results from a partnership between the regional government of the Azores and the association of Azorean coffee producers, which will be available in "Delta The Coffee House Experience" shops. The Azores really are a mystery wrapped in enigma, at least to me. It comprises nine distinct and beautiful islands, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, with a temperate climate, and yet, it can grow tropical produce such as pineapple and tobacco. Now coffee! Last but not the least, it also grows tea, like in the cool hills of Darjeeling.
The Portuguese introduced coffee to my home country, establishing it as one of the premier coffee-producing nations globally.
Portugal, still the first, always the innovator 👏
Breaking news, indeed, Rui Paulo Almas. When are you planning a tasting session 😜?
Já bebo café de S. Jorge desde há muito tempo, da família Nunes e de outra família, na Fajã dos Vimes. E vale bem a pena.
So proud of Portugal 🇵🇹, and, particularly, of the Açores ❤️😀☕️!
