It’s been really cool to see a strategic plan you set out to build nearly 3 years ago come to light in the marketplace. We couldn’t have gotten here without the partnership and thought leadership of Richard Mackey and Arun Kattabomman. I cannot wait to see where we take this next. As a leader in Finance, making large investments in innovative technology like AI can often have a massive ROI but are hard to prioritize when facing significant data ingestion and cleansing time, model training costs, engineering overhead, and operational retooling / reprocessing costs. These are BIG projects. Traditional evaluation tools for ROIC and IRR will not always lead you to making these types of investments unless you load up unrealistic expectations for ROI. Beyond the math, I like to think about… does this make sense for bottom line and add enterprise value (future earnings), does this improve my customer experience, does this improve my employee experience, does this reduce business risk and do we have the cash on hand or supporting capital structure to make this investment. If all of these point to yes (which is VERY HARD to optimize for at one time), then set a thoughtful course toward prioritizing the project and chunk it into phases. Also make sure your debt and equity holders are excited about the project!

AI has the potential to revolutionize healthcare by analyzing vast amounts of patient data—like the health records of 2 million individuals—to identify those at high risk for conditions such as heart disease or chronic kidney disease. By flagging these patients early, healthcare providers can proactively adjust treatments or medications, potentially saving lives. This is the trade-off we make when we share our sensitive health data with AI, and personally, I'm comfortable with that. How about you? For instance, in an OPTIMISE pilot involving 82 high-risk patients, AI identified that one in five had undiagnosed moderate or high-risk chronic kidney disease. Moreover, more than half of those with high blood pressure were prescribed different medications to better manage their heart risk. SOAP Health has completed a 50 real world case study of its new diagnostic capabilities. These cases included rare diseases and multi-diagnosis cases. This was done in a publishable scientifically rigorous manner, but as much of the work involves trade secrets, all we can report is that we’ll now at the top level of human diagnosis capabilities. By September, we expect that using our patent-pending diagnosis approach, which includes triangulating history, risks, symptoms, test results, and exam findings, our system will achieve vastly superior to human diagnostic capabilities. Even the manner by which data is presented is supportive. A new era of tech enabled medical practice (TEMP) is about to begin. Health professionals will use their time with patients more efficiently while earning more money, avoiding malpractice, and improving patient outcomes. The recent 2024 Society for the Advancement of Patient Blood Management, Inc. (SABM) Meeting was a remarkable experience. During the presentation 'Where #PBM meets Artificial Intelligence - Today and Tomorrow,' Guilherme Rabello highlighted how PBM can integrate #AI into its framework. On the flight home, our team realized the need to better utilize AI in building our #Anemia awareness platform infrastructure. The results were eye-opening: our AI model showed that over 60% of nurses and executives experience anemia symptoms like fatigue, weakness, and headaches. It surprised us how many PBM categories our symbol covers, and public awareness, driven by our Red Bloodless Anemia Logo, directly engages the public and aligns with our mission. Our anemia symbol acts as a bridge, allowing stakeholders to benefit from increased public engagement. Healthcare providers can identify anemia early, hospitals can adopt better PBM protocols, and companies will see improved workplace health. Public health organizations will use the engagement to expand outreach, while AI and health tech innovators can collaborate to enhance anemia detection and PBM processes.
