Tucked away in the leafy suburb of Glen Iris, in a classic Californian Bungalow lies a modern, renovated space with cathedral ceilings, soft pastel hues, and luxurious linens. Nat Wheeler, co-owner of Norsu, has transformed her home into a blend of functionality and beauty that truly reflects her family’s unique style. Having carefully crafted her family’s forever home, the interiors are divided into three zones to cater to the needs of the parents and children, whilst having a joint space they can all share together. With soaring five-metre ceilings and moody lighting, this space is a luminous sanctuary featuring a stunning array of Natural Stone, from New Savior Limestone to Emerald Haze Quartzite, Lorde White Marble, and London Pink Marble. The vibrant hues of the Natural Stone infuse sophistication and energy throughout the home, capturing the essence of Norsu and Nat’s personality. As part of our Captivating Spaces Series, CDK Stone Director Tony Victor spoke to Nat about her newly renovated home and the different stages of turning her vision into reality. Discover this project today by watching Episode Two of our Captivating Spaces Series.

Creating a deep connection with your home is essential for fostering a sense of peace and well-being. Start by decluttering and organizing your space; a tidy environment promotes clarity and calm. Introduce elements that resonate with you, such as artwork, plants, and personal mementos, to create a space that feels uniquely yours. Consider the energy flow by arranging furniture to facilitate movement and harmony. Utilize calming colors and natural materials to enhance the ambiance. 🌿 Your Soul's Home In today's era, if you want a beautiful house, you can design it according to many trends such as modern design, neoclassical design, garden villas, Japanese style, European style,... In every house , you will design rooms with different functions such as bedroom, living room, office, bathroom... Likewise, I believe that each of us has a spiritual house just like our physical houses, the entire house is our personality and personal values of which you are the architect. Inside that house there are many rooms such as the room of joy, hope, gratitude, or the room we are building in our soul of anger, hatred, sadness, and indifference. So, what values do you want your soul's house to be built on? And what are the rooms you want to build in that soul house? We invite you to reflect together. #psychology #personalvalues

Cozy spaces and comfort over luxury 🏠🧸 I don't need a fancy mansion or a huge home filled with stuff but I definitely want some place I can truly call my own that offers comfort and coziness. A small home or apartment that has lots of natural light, beautiful furnishings that spark joy, and warm decor filled with my favorite things is more appealing to me than anything overly large or ostentatious. ☁️😌 What really matters most is having a place that hugs me with comfort and positivity each and every day, a space where I can truly relax and recharge my soul. A place with fluffy rugs, 🧶 soft throws, and lots of plants 🌱 that make me feel calm, happy and inspired. That's the type of home I desire most, a little comfy oasis filled with love.💕 #cozyhomes #cosyliving #comfortzone #littlehomebiglove #comfyhomes

Small spaces don't have to be graves. You can maximize space with minimal effort. Let me share a story. Last year, my friend moved into her first apartment. It was a typical studio with white walls and fluorescent lighting. But she managed to make the 25 mp space look like a villa. How? - Clever furniture - Floor to ceiling shelves - Multi-functional objects - Measured pops of color She was smart with her space without sacrificing style. We can apply those principles to any space, even an already furnished room. So if you have a small space, don't let it limit you. Let your creativity flow and your space can feel like a palace.

Moving from a cozy home in NJ to a larger, sprawling space in CT can be daunting. But it presents a golden opportunity, too! Anita's client's journey is a testament to embracing change and crafting a home that tells a new story. When they made the move, they wanted their new home to reflect the classic, elegant, and timeless charm of Connecticut. The living room was a challenge—it was vast. How do you make such a large space feel inviting and warm? Here's what they did: → We broke up the space with layered rugs. This not only defined different areas but added a cozy, intimate feel. → Natural textures were key. Jute, linen, wood—these elements brought the beauty of the outdoors in to create a seamless blend with the picturesque CT landscape. → We added a variety of seating options. From plush armchairs to comfy sofas, each piece invites you to sit, relax, and enjoy the space. → Art and decor were carefully curated. We chose pieces that told a story and added depth to the room. The result? A living room that feels both grand and welcoming, elegant yet comfortable. To anyone embarking on a similar journey, remember this: Moving isn’t just about changing locations. It’s about creating a home that reflects your new chapter. Embrace the change. What’s your favorite way to make a large space feel inviting?
