🌟 Exciting Opportunity to Inspire the Next Generation of Construction Professionals! 🌟
On behalf of the Learning Lab Committee, I’m thrilled to announce that the Tampa Bay Construction Career Days event is scheduled for March 26, 2025, at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds.
This incredible event introduces over 1,000 high school students from the Tampa Bay area to the diverse and rewarding careers within the construction industry—including highways, bridges, engineering, utilities, surveying, vertical construction, geotechnical fields, and more.
Students will explore various post-high school pathways, engage in hands-on activities, and even have the opportunity to apply for jobs. Each year, we hear inspiring stories from students who’ve found their career direction at this event—many of whom didn’t know what they wanted to pursue before attending.
The Learning Labs are at the heart of this experience, offering 20-minute sessions where participating firms showcase their work and inspire students to see themselves in these roles. Labs can include:
🔹 Hands-on exercises (e.g., rebar tying, pipe fitting, surveying)
🔹 Industry presentations and discussions
🔹 Fun and interactive activities
