🌟 Empowering Abilities: Breaking Barriers in the Workforce 🌟
Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), in collaboration with ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems, is making strides toward inclusivity and empowerment.
Historically, candidates with disabilities, particularly speech and hearing impairments, were not hired in hazardous industries due to industrial policies. However, during a recent industry meet, TNSDC actively engaged with industry leaders to address this barrier. As a result, hazardous industries are now ready to onboard differently-abled candidates, equipping them with essential manufacturing and automobile skills to ensure their safety and productivity.
This initiative not only creates sustainable employment opportunities but also redefines workplace diversity by empowering individuals and fostering equal opportunities.
At TNSDC, we are proud to champion inclusivity and pave the way for a more equitable workforce.

Addressing 600+ students of SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) on the topic of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at work places.
Students watched the short film - 'to be honest' continued with the pondering questions they directly asked from the characters!
As I least expect it, I was caught as Anika, the CEO to be put on the spotlight and asked about her grey shades that one side, she hires gay and female employees to increase her DEI portfolio for the market image but at the other hand, she is doubtful if her friend, Rahul is taking her on board the advisory sheerly for her gender power!
As an Actor, I was happy that in front of the live audience, I could maintain the tonality, body language of the character and could also answer this two sided dilemma as a plain matter of fact. More so, I could satisfy the girl with my answer who had asked me this question!
However, I often myself contemplate upon DEI in its entirety that how practical it is for the business owner to implement such practices purely in the pursuit of profit and success of the company.
Is it really that easy to put across black and white for the companies or the Business needs to strike a balance between its ethos and abrasiveness?
Can it be concluded that, in the workplace, equity acknowledges that we're all different, and those differences make everyone great. Yet, simultaneously, it is equally viable for the business owner to be little biased in policies and processes, play the cards to the advantage of the company.
As such, as a smarter approach, companies that adopt equity practices don't establish one-size-fits-all policies. Rather they take individual needs into consideration, while also readjusting organizational structures to account for the disadvantages minority groups face.
What's your take on the corporate culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion? Which is the character you connected the most?
It had been a great opportunity to be a part of the performance, co-writing the script, directing the shoot, editing it and most importantly to be in a Q&A panel as the characters I played...!

S.M.I.L.E - 🌟 Inspiration in Every Conversation 🌟
Strategic Mission for Inclusion, Leadership and Empowerment - We started this initiative about six months back in Process Automation and Motion Control R&D segment (PAMC). As a part of this initiative, I had the opportunity to sit down with some of our aspiring women colleagues from PAMC segment for a casual coffee catch-up, held in both Bengaluru and Gurgaon offices. What started as a simple gathering quickly transformed into a vibrant exchange of ideas, experiences, and dreams.
We discussed various topics, from career aspirations and work-life balance to innovation and personal growth and each of these topics led us to interesting stories. Each story shared was a testament to the passion and resilience that drives our diverse team forward. In these candid conversations, I am reminded of the power of open dialogue and the inspiration we can draw from one another.
For my women colleagues, here are some key takeaways from our conversations:
- Be flexible and adapt to changes.
- Stay sincere and true to your values
- Maintain consistency and learn continuously
- Build trust and remain committed
- Aspire, take risks and inspire confidence
To all the amazing women in our organization and beyond - keep pushing the boundaries and strive for excellence in whatever you aspire for!
🌟Diverse teams are more successful and we will continue to foster the right environment where diversity thrives!🌟

It was a real pleasure to attend the MSDUK conference this week. I met inspiring people who are doing incredible things in the world and share a strong passion for supplier diversity 🤝.
One thing I’ve observed is that despite being registered on multiple corporate supplier portals, this alone hasn’t translated into work.
Every engagement where I’ve had the privilege to serve has come through powerful conversations. By connecting directly with people, we’ve been able to dive into their pain points around #inclusion, and I’ve shown how I can turbocharge their efforts on #neuroinclusion.
These conversations have led to speaking engagements, drafting content for companies, and even designing comprehensive #neurodiversity e-learning programmes for managers.
It’s a reminder that real connection and understanding come through dialogue, especially when the work you do is as specific as mine.
I loved delving into some truly impactful conversations with both corporate representatives and ethnic minority-owned businesses; there was a strong spirit of service towards one another.
Special shout out to Jenny Garrett OBE, Dr Carlton Brown, Morton Patterson, Hira Ali, Ngozi Weller, Maria Harrison MCIPS, Azeem Khan 🔑 Commercial and Contract Cleaning, Roneish Myers, Ishreen Bradley - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, Dr Shani Dhanda for deep conversations and especially to Reshma Sheikh for creating this fabulous space 🙏🏽
If you’re interested in exploring how #neuroinclusion can enhance your workplace, let’s talk.

Is your organization moving beyond the checkbox approach to diversity? 🚀
Diversity isn't just about numbers or categories—it’s about valuing different perspectives and fostering a culture of belonging.
In this 3rd episode of the December Edition of #TheInfluencerSeries by NHRDN Delhi & NCR Chapter and Corporate Shiksha, Smriti Ahuja, C-Suite HR Leader, shares her approach to unlocking the true potential of diversity and inclusion:
1️⃣ Diversity Beyond Numbers: Diversity is more than gender or ethnicity; it’s about embracing diverse perspectives that drive innovation and growth.
2️⃣ Inclusion as the Key: Diversity without inclusion can lead to conflict. Inclusion ensures every employee feels valued and accepted, creating harmony and collaboration.
3️⃣ Sense of Belonging: When employees feel they belong, they bring their whole selves to work, resulting in increased motivation, discretionary effort, and productivity.
🔑 It’s time to think beyond representation and embrace a culture where every voice counts!
