Futurist, Founder and CEO Xpontential Group | Keynote Speaker | Bridging the Gap Between Today and Tomorrow | Transformative Thinker | Here to Shake Things Up and Shift Your Mindset
Walking through the picturesque village of Castle Combe in the UK, I stumbled upon a remarkable display of trust. A small table outside a house laden with food bore a simple note: "Pay what you can through the letterbox." It was entirely based on trust—no surveillance, no fear of theft, just pure human decency. This experience made me reflect on how trust shapes our future. Today, we're facing a serious trust deficit. We no longer trust our politicians, business leaders, or neighbours. This erosion of trust is not just a societal issue—it's a barrier to progress. In my view, trust will define the future. Without it, our efforts in technology, innovation, and collaboration are doomed to fail. Trust is the glue that holds everything together, from business deals to community bonds. Click this link to learn more about trust and future readiness: https://lnkd.in/ee_hpF2J What's the state of trust in your life? Are you building bridges or walls?

What would you do if a founder director goes rogue? Founder Directors like Steve Jobs and Elon Musk are synonymous with their companies, shaping their identity, credibility, and culture. Yet, as a company evolves, power shifts, and the once unchallenged vision of the Founder can clash with new board dynamics and shareholder expectations. This can lead to a 'realignment process' to address misalignments between the Founder's skills and the company's trajectory. Resistance is inevitable, and when the board decides it's time for the Founder to depart, the situation can escalate. If the Founder pre-empts this by resigning and claiming constructive dismissal or whistleblowing, the company faces a disputes nightmare. In the latest of our 25 minutes 'Disputes Nightmare Scenario' flash webinar series, we'll tackle the immediate actions beyond legal counsel, the efficacy of restrictive covenants, handling a disgruntled founder shareholder, the Founder's potential responses, managing communication, and minimising operational upheaval. Register using the link below.
Join us on 2 July for the latest in our Disputes Nightmare Flash Webinar series. Corporate Partner Nicola McConville and Partner and Head of Head of Start-up and Scale-up Employment Kim Wedral-Rooke will be discussing the unique position of a Founder Director and what to do if they go rogue with Sarah Macleod, Senior Director at Powerscourt. “I do know people (males) in my team who talk about prior experience at other firms (in leaving early to collect their children or sharing childcare with their partners) and feeling negativity from those around them. It does exist” It is the final day of Madison Berkeley’s The REal Juggle campaign supported by CoStar UK and what a week it has been. Thanks so much for your support and please keep sharing the audio interviews. They will remain on https://lnkd.in/er6XEMfw to ensure that this topic remains high on the agenda and we hope to continue to revisit it throughout the year. Talking about and raising the issues that face parents in real estate is so important. Conversations breed change. For those who have listened all week to the 20-30-minute audio interviews which focus on juggling being a parent with working in senior positions in the real estate industry you will know that no topic has been off-limits so far. These audio interviews are a must-listen for everyone in the industry regardless of gender or seniority. We hope you will share it with your community as well as add your thoughts and comments to the conversation. Today in our final round table discussion co-founder of Madison Berkeley Clare Coe née Doughty and colleague Jack Hechle welcome Rob Codling Senior fund manager at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and Alexander Keith Director at SEGRO plc to the table.
