I was inspired to create the infographic below after wandering through Westfields Stratford.
Whilst window shopping I stopped at a Khiel, an upmarket skin product shop.
I wouldn't normally buy products from this company, but reading their start-up history, their business journey and product innovations which was printed on a pop-up in their display window left me intrigued and interested enough to visit their website.
It also made me realise there's absolutely nothing wrong with utilising your business history in your PR strategy. In fact it's a good thing to do.
Any business that's been around for five years or more should be sharing details of their progress, product innovations, special anniversaries (5, 10, 15, 20, 21, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50 etc) and leveraging their history to generate publicity, raise awareness of business products and services and increase sales.
Use anniversaries to host celebratory events
Celebrate your product innovations to get publicity and attract new customers Share details of your experience - how long you've been working in your industry, the clients you've worked with and your milestone achievements.
The infographic below - provides some ways businesses can leverage their history in their PR.
