One of my personal targets for 2023 was to learn a new language. I'm making steady progress in German, and will continue in 2024. It's my first thing in the morning routine, after waking up. My decision to learn German was partly decided because of the availability of hundreds of free German language channels on satellite television. Fortunately the UK is within the satellite signal 'footprint'. We already had an old Sky TV satellite dish on the house, when we moved in. To receive German television just required a cheap (less than £40) satellite receiver box, capable of downloading signals from all international TV broadcast satellites (a sky box won't work). It also required using a satellite signal finder unit, and physically moving the satellite dish towards the satellite at 19 degrees east. #satelliteconnectivity #satellitecommunications #satellites #satellite #personalgrowth #personaldevelopment #learning #germanlanguage #growthmindset

🛫 Exploring VHF vs. HF in Radio Communication 📻 Ever wondered about the differences between VHF (Very High Frequency) and HF (High Frequency) in radio communication? Let's break it down: 🔹 VHF (Very High Frequency): - Frequencies: 30 MHz to 300 MHz. - Characteristics: VHF signals are ideal for line-of-sight communication, making them perfect for aircraft-to-aircraft and aircraft-to-ground communication over shorter distances. - Applications: Think air traffic control, aviation radios, FM radio broadcasting, maritime communication, and even local emergency services. 🔹 HF (High Frequency): - Frequencies: 3 MHz to 30 MHz. - Characteristics: HF signals can travel long distances by reflecting off the ionosphere, enabling long-range communication even beyond the line-of-sight. - Applications: HF shines in long-range aviation communication, international shortwave broadcasting, maritime and military communication, amateur radio enthusiasts connecting worldwide, and providing communication support in remote areas. Understanding these differences helps tailor communication systems to suit specific needs, whether it's ensuring smooth air traffic control, broadcasting critical information globally, or staying connected in the most remote corners of the world. 🌐✈️ #VHF #HF #RadioCommunication #Aviation #Technology

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently issued an advisory to Satellite Television Channels Broadcasters/Teleport Operators re the provisioning of satellite capacity on non-Indian satellites, as per the recently introduced Norms, Guidelines and Procedures for Implementation of Indian Space Policy-2023 in respect of Authorization of Space Activities (“NGP”). With effect from April 01, 2025, only non-Indian satellites/constellations that are authorized by IN-SPACe, in any of the frequency bands, shall be permitted to enable the provisioning of their capacity in India. Key Points: Existing arrangements for provisioning of capacity in any of the frequency bands (C, Ku or Ka) with non-Indian satellite operators can continue until March 31, 2025. Any new capacity, additional capacity, or changes of satellite, etc., must require IN-SPACe authorization through an Indian entity. Applications for IN-SPACe authorization must be submitted through the IN-SPACe digital platform (www.inspace.gov.in) by an Indian Entity. This entity could be an Indian subsidiary, joint venture/collaboration, or an authorized dealer/representative of the non-Indian satellite operator in India. Information that needs to be furnished for authorization is detailed in Application Form No. IN: APP:01.02, located in Appendix II (Application Templates for Different Categories of Authorization) of the NGP. For more detail refer to Chapter IV (Space Based Communication), S. No. III (Authorization of non-Indian GSO and/or NGSO satellite/constellation to enable provisioning of its capacity in India for communication services) of the NGP. #SpacePolicy #SatelliteBroadcast #INSPACe #IndianSpacePolicy #BroadcastRegulation #SatelliteAuthorization #SpaceSector #RegulatoryCompliance #BroadcastIndustry #SpacePolicy2023 #BroadcastServices #TelecomRegulation #SatelliteOperators #SpaceLaw #RegulatoryAdvisory #BroadcastAuthorization #SatelliteTechnology #INSPACeAuthorization #SpaceRegulations #CommunicationServices Alaqshendra Singh Milind Yadav Gaurav Pandey

There have been 30 years of CAB Sat, and during that time, the majority of the UAE's media outlets have been governed by government-owned umbrella organizations, as well as the National Media Council and its extensions. Despite this, the United Arab Emirates has emerged as one of the world's most significant media consumers. Research reveals that the UAE holds the top spot globally regarding social media use, boasting an impressive score of 9.55/10. Notably, the UAE stands out as the most digitally connected nation worldwide, extending its influence beyond social media. With a connectivity score of 7.53/10, the UAE excels in various areas, including internet usage, social media platforms, fixed broadband subscriptions, mobile cellular subscriptions, and the proportion of the population utilizing the internet, as per research compiled by business Proxyrack. Furthermore, the survey indicated that people in the United Arab Emirates spend approximately 7 hours and 29 minutes daily on the internet. South Africans spend the most in the world, nearly ten hours per day, more than any other country. Dalet products can help organizations manage content where streaming abounds.
