Exciting Developments in Energy Recovery for the Steel Industry! 🌍⚡ BFI is advancing the recovery of waste heat from gas scrubbing water in steel production through its innovative Non-Clogging Heat Exchanger (Module 1). https://lnkd.in/eKx_Fbqw This reclaimed energy will be used to power Membrane Distillation (MD) for desalinating blowdown #water – a key step toward #sustainable water management in the #steel sector. Recently, a #CORNERSTONE internal seminar hosted by #CERTH featured BFI’s detailed insights into this technology. In November, the consortium will visit Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann (#HKM) in Germany to see the Module 1 pilot plant in action! ⚙️ Participation in Feasibility Study for Low-Carbon Aluminum Project in Finland ⚙️ Mitsubishi Corporation will conduct a feasibility study for the Arctial Low-Carbon Aluminium Project in Finland with Rio Tinto, Fortum, Finnish Industry Investment, and Vargas Holding. In addition, MC will contribute to the feasibility assessment based on its investment and management track record in the aluminium business and its knowledge gained through its global aluminium trading activities.
