♻️ Join REG in revolutionizing recycling and demolition practices across Tunisia! 🌍 Let's build a greener, cleaner future together. #RecycleSmart #SustainableDemolition
Recycling construction materials is crucial for sustainable development. Here's why: 🌍 Environmental Impact: Recycling helps conserve natural resources by reducing the need for raw materials. It also decreases landfill waste, cutting down on pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. 💡 Energy Savings: Producing new materials consumes a lot of energy. Recycling saves significant energy, contributing to overall energy efficiency and helping combat climate change. 💰 Economic Benefits: Reusing materials reduces disposal costs and can generate revenue from salvaged items. It also creates jobs in waste management and recycling industries, boosting local economies. Let's make a positive impact on our environment and economy by prioritizing recycling in construction! 🌱 #Recycling #Sustainability #ConstructionMaterials

Today, on World Environment Day, we acknowledge the need for awareness and action to protect our environment. At Steel Mains, we aim to work towards protecting the environment through sustainable manufacturing. We have several initiatives that underpin our strategy such as the use of renewable energy, reduce manufacturing water consumption and wastewater pollution and strive to achieve Zero Landfill waste disposal through maximising recycling and reuse of waste. Together, we can make a significant impact and ensure a healthier planet for future generations. #WorldEnvironmentDay #Sustainability

While today may be the last day of #InfrastructureWeek 2024, the benefits of #recycledmaterials in infrastructure are never-ending. Recycled materials are integral in building and maintaining modern infrastructure. Utilizing recycled materials in infrastructure projects conserves natural resources, reduces energy and water use, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. The logistics and facilities that make recycling possible are the backbone of a #sustainable materials management system — keeping high quality materials in the manufacturing supply chain and setting the stage for a greener and more sustainable planet.

Did you know that the world is currently using the equivalent of 1.6 earths to maintain its current way of life? 🌎 This means that it takes the earth a year and a half to generate the resources that the human population consumes in only a year. As part of our commitment to the #CircularEconomy, we repurposed nearly 27 million tons of waste last year, which is about the same amount of waste collected across England. To fully transition to a Circular Economy, the world needs circular public policies that encourage resource reutilization and landfill reduction.
