A three-minute video describing why, in most university settings, we believe a half-day Managing Distressed Students course - which has been designed by, and for, people working in higher education - is more effective and more role-appropriate than a longer Mental Health First Aid course. Find out more about the different ways to access Managing Distressed Students training: https://lnkd.in/eiAVSMUt What are your thoughts? What experience have you had with training on these issues in higher education?

Wellbeing Partner @ Health Assured | Employee Assistance Program | Life & Leadership Coaching | MHFA | Wellbeing Workshops | People Engagement
This week marks Children's Mental Health Week in the UK, a vital time to empower and equip our young people with the tools they need to thrive. Shockingly, a recent survey revealed that 2 in 3 teachers feel ill-equipped to deal with children's mental health in the classroom. This means that many of our children are left waiting for support from either their school's wellbeing team or the NHS. At Heath Assured, we recognize the importance of providing guidance and support to our educators to ensure the bright and healthy wellbeing of our future. That's why we offer access to a CBT platform for teachers, staff, and parents to help navigate the challenges of childhood mental health in today's busy world. Let's work together to prioritise the mental health of our children and young people. #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek #MentalHealthAwareness
