Have you heard about our project the Community Data Health Initiative? A collaboration with the Environmental Defense Fund and the African American Mayors Association, and supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The Kresge Foundation, the initiative assists mayors and city leaders in utilizing data to address localized environmental issues, with a key focus on improving health outcomes for communities disproportionately affected by environmental hazards like air pollution and extreme heat. Our team, including Nisha Kumar, Erica Ivins, Kate Joyce Murphy, works closely with partner municipalities like the City of Detroit, City/Parish of Baton Rouge, City of Baltimore, and the District of Columbia on pilot projects, with the goal of sharing learnings and best practices across city networks nationwide. Read more about our work below!
