STOP 🛑 and READ 👀 ⚡ The Charity Commission for England and Wales has published brand new guidance to help protect your charity from fraud and cyber crime!! ⚡ As a NFP and charity auditor, I have seen an increasing number of fraud attempts over the past year and this is reflected in the Charity Commissions findings that "it [has] opened 603 cases relating to fraud and a further 99 cases relating to cyber crime issues in the last year." This guidance provides details on: 🔵 The types of crime 🔵 Tips to reduce the risk to your charity 🔵 Guidance and training split between smaller or medium/larger charities 🔵 How to respond and report 🔵 Other useful links This is perfectly aligned with #CharityFraudAwareness Week 2024 and something that should be shared within charities and trustee boards.
