Awesome BUT in the recent webinar highlights the challenges faced in reaching and mobilizing the diaspora. Identifying and addressing these challenges, such as communication barriers and lack of awareness, are crucial for expanding participation. On the flip side, opportunities abound in leveraging digital platforms, targeted outreach, and education to increase diaspora involvement. Strategies for Boosting Diaspora Participation: 1. Digital Outreach and Education: Utilize online platforms to disseminate information about Ethiopian capital markets, investment opportunities, and the potential impact on the nation’s development. Educational webinars, tutorials, and interactive sessions can bridge knowledge gaps. 2. Collaboration with Diaspora Organizations: Forge partnerships with diaspora organizations and community leaders. Their networks and influence can be instrumental in mobilizing larger groups and disseminating information effectively. 3. Tailored Marketing Campaigns: Develop targeted marketing campaigns that resonate with the diaspora’s interests and concerns. Highlight success stories of diaspora members who have contributed to the Ethiopian capital markets. 4. Incentive Programs: Introduce incentive programs such as tax breaks or investment bonuses to encourage diaspora participation. These initiatives can make investment in Ethiopian capital markets more appealing. 5. Regular Engagement Activities: Establish a consistent schedule of engagement activities, including virtual town hall meetings, Q&A sessions, and forums where diaspora members can express their thoughts and concerns.

The IGF is invaluable in its ability to bring together all stakeholder communities to share their knowledge and expertise to ensure interoperable policy approaches that meet the diverse needs of everyone, everywhere. We need to reinforce the Multistakeholder model and make it the rule, not the exception, in how we address the policy, regulatory and legal space around the Internet, and digital technologies more broadly. While incredible progress has been made in the last 20 years, 2.6 billion people still remain unconnected, and those who have the possibility to connect, often don't, because of affordability, lack of relevant services or skills, cultural and normative impediments. #IGFKyoto2023 https://lnkd.in/gHMpBu7E

Embracing Local Content to unblocking potential: A Key to Success in the giga projects and a major part of the last event by #PIF: I recently had the privilege of attending privet sector forum made by PIF in their 2nd edition., and had the pleasure of interacting with number of business and industries eager to contract with PIF. I was honored and baffled by the amount of attendees and how well organized it was. The forum emphasized the growing importance of local content and how it is not only incentivized but might even become mandated in the near future. As someone who strongly believes in the power of collaboration and community, I am thrilled to share my key takeaways from this event.
