An estimated 14.1 percent of U.S. households were underbanked in 2021, according to the FDIC, leaving many with little access to financial offerings like credit and loans. This can lead some people to pursue more risky financial services like payday loans or check-cashing services. I recently had the opportunity to speak with Naré Vardanyan, the CEO of Ntropy. The company has built technology that can automatically categorize and enrich financial data at scale.
