📆Today is the beginning of my last month on parental leave 👨🍼 and marks also the last month being contracted with Upvest. That said, I would like to thank the company, all colleagues and clients for the close and awesome collaboration 🤝🏼 at any given time (which can also be outside of 'usual' working hours 😊) . 📈📚I’ve been enabled and challenged to build, learn and grow in a way, which was maybe sometimes a bit tricky in terms of expectations when it came to documentation needs 🫣😁, nevertheless it helped myself and (hopefully) the company and colleagues to always strive for the best solutions, get things done, build up and run smoothly 🙌 Helping and enable clients like Revolut, Raisin, Shares, Vivid and N26 to provide their end users a way to invest in the most efficient, secure and convenient way and ensure best services and performance in running such a highly regulated business is a privilege which I am very thankful for 🙏🏼 💡As I was able to bring in all my knowledge of markets, assets, services, operations and regulation when it comes to Users, Trading, Custody, Reporting, Controls etc., it would have never been sufficient without the tremendous knowledge, support and work attitude of many other colleagues at Upvest (which is the reason I won‘t tag any names, as otherwise it would be way too much for a post 😁). Special thanks to my Ops department which made it easy to lead 🤩 , to Product and Engineering 🛠️ for shipping fast and understanding concerns as well as challenging the status quo whenever needed and keep laser focus. Also thanks to all 'Banking' departments 🔐(Legal, Risk, Compliance, Accounting) without their expertise the whole product suite would not work the way it does now (very compliant and audit proof by the way ☺️). And not to forget all Upvengers on having fun at work and beyond, great to have met you all and let‘s stay in contact for sure 😎🎉🍾 Now stay curious on what comes next, I might update you beginning of August on some work news and maybe a bit earlier on additional 'stuff' 😉 Onwards and upwards 🚀🚀, never settle too early 😁

Today marks 3 months since I joined TrueLayer - and it’s been better than I could have hoped for. In honour of, I'm sharing 3 things I’ve learned so far from working in ✨sales at a fintech✨: 👏 It’s a team game - Company culture starts from the top down. The leaders and mangers here are first class and are all willing to jump into various fields of play and bring their expertise. There is no I here, just we, which has facilitated an amazing culture of trust, collaboration, and recognition. 💡 New ideas are always welcome - Joining an organisation is always a great time to take stock of what's working, and what could be improved. Have routines, traditions, or systems that contributed to your success in your past? Bring them to your new role, adapt them to fit the culture, and boom - you've hit the ground running. 🔁 Bet on yourself - I took a chance to try a new role, in a new industry. This job doesn't exist in the same capacity back home in Canada as open banking is not at the same stage as it is here in the UK. That excited me, and while a bit daunting, I knew it was the right role for me to take (even though my parents don't understand what my job is!). “Put your money where your mouth is.” they say. So this is one of the moments in life where a sentence like that becomes reality. At least for me it is. I have been lucky to have been driving transformational branding and commercial growth processes for all kinds of brands, both in Scandinavia and in Europe for almost two decades. For one of those brands, a specialist fintech player focusing on tech-driven niche banking and insurance, I have been a part of the brand's inception, startup phase, scaling and growing phase, and strategic development over the past 7(!) years. 🥷🏼 Little did i know that the management team turned the assignments into the longest job-interview process known to mankind. 😊😊 I have always loved companies that don’t stand still, firms that dare to challenge, little players that aspire to be big, and outliers that see opportunity where others see barriers. And this is definitely one of them. This thing is going places, scaling in more countries, broader financial products and solutions portfolio for both private and corporate clients, and it will be part of my job to make sure this happens as fast, and as profitable as possible. So now, it is time to step down from leading The Brand Project, hand it over to Carina Åkredalen Løvbræk, and start this new chapter. I am excited, thrilled, and massively stoked to announce my move to becoming the new Chief Commercial Officer at Instabank ASA. Starting, well, right about... now! All in.
