Paying it forward
Wakefern Food Corp. has always been equal parts heart ❤️ and ambition. So, with the close of the successful 2024 Wakefern Showcase, we were proud to partner with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and donate nearly four trucks of fresh foods and groceries from the Showcase supermarket displays. These donated items will help as many as 20,000 families in our region. Thanks to all the team members who volunteered to pack and load – and to the CFBNJ for their ongoing commitment and creativity in the fight against hunger.

What does Helping Hands Food Bank do besides provide food? How can our donors know we use their donations responsibly and effectively to serve the local community? How much of a difference do our volunteers really make? Who uses the food bank? How many people use the food bank and is the need increasing or decreasing? At Helping Hands Food Bank, our goal is to be as transparent as possible with our donors, volunteers, community partners, and the public. Our 2023 Impact Report is one way we report the data and stories we have collected over the previous year to illustrates the impact Helping Hands has on Skagit County as a whole and individuals. By sharing accurate information about the need in Skagit County and trends in the services offered at Helping Hands, we can continue to partner together in the mission to nourish our community with kindness and respect without judgement. See our complete 2023 Impact Report on our website at the link below. In 2023, 8.8 million Californians experienced food insecurity. This means that nearly 1 in every 4 individuals are unsure where their next meal will come from. Every year, lawyers across the state come together to try to provide critical funds to local food banks. So please join us in donating to your local food bank. If you don't have one, please consider donating to our firm's local food bank. Contra Costa County often receives far less resources than San Francisco and Alameda. But Contra Costa County has areas of significant need, including Richmond, Concord, and Pittsburg. https://lnkd.in/gYviBwzJ

One of the projects I have especially enjoyed working on at Vidir (and for other organizations) has been the creation of Values branding and strategy. Finding out what values the company already operates by and then creating memorable structure around those values. Values shouldn’t just be words you sometimes reference in company literature. They should be memorable, actionable, and integrated into all you do.
At Vidir, we believe we are stronger together. We believe that Community Creates Meaning. Being actively involved in our local and global communities is a core value at Vidir. We live this value out by being a welcoming, diverse team that gives back. You will find Vidir staff volunteering around their communities and find Vidir supporting many local and global charities annually. #VidirValues #CommunityCreatesMeaning

Consultant/ Project Controls/ Project Manager Professional/ Strategic Account Manager | If I can handle a 3 year-old, I can manage any project you throw at me!
I find it inspiring to see how Mountain View Printing & Graphics Ltd. has been quietly making a difference in our community by supporting organisations like Inn from the Cold, Calgary Food Bank, Calgary Humane Society, and Kingdom Coffee to name a few... How do other businesses out there integrate giving back into their business models? Whether it's through charitable donations, volunteering, or other forms of support, I'd love to hear about the creative ways companies are making a positive impact. #Question: As a small business, what unique approaches do you take to give back to your community, and how do you balance this with the demands of running your business? Is this something even on your radar? #yyc #GivingBack #CommunityImpact #SmallBusiness #CorporateResponsibility
If you could read the thought bubble over my head… This is what I’m thinking today: Behind the busy scenes—the crazy pace of our print business—nobody knows about the ways in which we support our local community. For years, we have been donating to and supporting local charitable organizations like: Inn from the Cold, Calgary Food Bank, Calgary Humane Society and Kingdom Coffee. As a small business owner, we can only do this if we’re successful. We can help make a difference because we have the capacity (and the compassion). It’s the other side nobody sees. If you’re a small business owner, how do you do it? #MVP #MVPrinters #MountainViewPrinting #Calgary #Alberta #GivingBack #Community
