Your Biggest College Lesson Should Be:
Diversified experiences and escaping the comfort zone.
Most students are getting through college in baby mode (eat, play, sleep)
It’s the stuff that gets you through but will leave you wondering, “What did I accomplish?”. This is why gaining unique perspectives and dismissing your comfort zone is key.
Both work hand in hand!
Look, when you do something new and different, your comfort zone asks you, “Where in the world do you think you’re going?” Many students listen to it and return to their comfy seats. I know I have before!
I’m not hating– I get it.
But instead, dig deep and tell yourself, win or lose, an experience gained is a step forward.
See, college is not about how many years of experience you have doing one thing. It’s about how many quality experiences you can fit into those years (typically 4).
If you think about it this way, you’ll take massive steps forward and never look back, accomplishing everything you wished for and more.
