Center for Caregiver Advancement’s Post

PHI - Quality Care Through Quality Jobs and the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) released a first-of-its-kind report entitled "Together in Care: Empowering Direct Care Workers to Meet Growing Demand for Care." The report makes the case for investing in caregivers and strengthening the partnerships between family caregivers and direct care workers.   The report features the evidence-informed intervention designed and implemented by CCA. A 60.5-hour training program for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) workers led to caregivers and consumers agreeing they were getting better care and better communication. They also found consumers experienced reduced ER visits and rehospitalizations two years after the training.    CCA is proud to have provided input on this report and we are excited for the vital discussion that will follow! https://lnkd.in/eXdXBspS
