Work-life balance is the somewhat antiquated term we often use to describe our working lives as women - particularly as mothers. The concept of balance puts the onus solely on our shoulders where we carry the physical and mental loads of our lives with us at all times. This newer concept of work-life integration really takes some of that pressure off where we are able to be fully present in each part of our multifaceted lives exactly when we need to be. Take a look at the second part of our Women in Financial Services WHM series which explores the topic of work-life integration and how these highly successful women use it as their superpower in their daily lives.
In celebration of Women's History Month, we are spotlighting women within the Financial Services industry as they share advice on work-life integration and how they incorporate it into their own lives. Click here for stories and guidance from Elly Truesdell, Founder and Managing Partner of New Fare, Sydney Paige Thomas, Founding General Partner of Symphonic Capital, Yana Andrea Klimova, CFO of Third Sphere, Lorine Pendleton, Founder and Managing Partner of 125 Ventures and Hallie Bonnar, Founder and Partner of New Fare Partners: https://ow.ly/xZEi50QTgAV #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenOfWithum #OneWithum

Women's History Month is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women throughout history. In the realm of real estate investing, women have made significant strides and left a lasting impact. From pioneers like Barbara Corcoran, who founded The Corcoran Group and became a prominent figure in the real estate industry, to contemporary leaders like Dottie Herman, the CEO of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, women real estate investors have shown resilience, innovation and leadership. Women real estate investors bring a unique perspective to the industry, often focusing on community development, sustainable practices, and creating inclusive spaces. Their success stories serve as inspiration for aspiring female entrepreneurs and investors, breaking barriers and challenging traditional norms. By honoring women real estate investors during Women's History Month, we not only recognize their achievements but also encourage more women to pursue their passions in the real estate field, making it a more diverse and dynamic industry for all. #realestateinvestor #womenempowerment #womenshistorymonth #womenentrepreneurs #celebratingwomen #womeninvestors #femaleentrepreneurs

Women in Real Estate 🔥 The landscape of women's participation in the real estate industry has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past half-century. Just 50 years ago, the notion of a woman financing a home on her own was often considered improbable, if not impossible. 👉🏼 However, in 2024, the statistics paint a vastly different picture, reflecting the significant strides that women have made in the realm of real estate. 🏡 In today's real estate sector, women are not only active participants but also influential leaders across various roles and responsibilities. #internationalwomensday #realtorlife #realestateagent #realtorsofinstagram #realestatetips #realestate #realtorlife #luxuryrealestate #luxuryrealtor #homebuyingtips #homesforsale #buyinghometips #realestateagent #realtormom

Hey peeps, 👀 Recognizing the achievements of women and their right to vote and much more.... From exclusion to leadership: women broke barriers, claimed spaces, and now thrive as influential agents in the real estate industry. 🏠🚺 The proportion of women in the real estate industry varies by region, cultural background, and market trends. Nonetheless, during the past few decades, women's engagement in the real estate sector has significantly increased worldwide. In the US, women made up roughly 64% of realtors as of 2021, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). This statistic demonstrates how women are becoming more prevalent and influential in the real estate industry. Other nations may also be seeing similar patterns, however precise numbers may differ. I applaud all the women who are making great progress in business, especially those who are in the real estate industry. Happy Woman's History Month! Women matter. #womanhistorymonth #womeninbusiness #womenempoweringwomen

Why do we say we’re female-founded? This International Women's Day, DNCO founder Joy Nazzari shares insights into the significance of our female-founded message. Her perspective explores the evolving opportunities for women in the industry. Here are her reflections: “When we rebranded to DNCO after becoming a 100% employee-owned business, we looked deeply at our narrative. Together with some fantastic defined values that we hold dear, our strategy team proposed the inclusion of ‘female-founded’ in the messaging. I had immediate reservations about appearing as the poster child of a virtue signal. My preference was for our work to stand on its own merit. I am also profoundly aware of the male mentors, many of whom identified as feminists, who helped me get here. And in the end, we are all just — humans? While at first it didn't seem a central message to me, I came around to recognising that it can and has had an impact on others. It serves as an example to women in the industry, signalling that they too can navigate this path. The message may be uncomfortable to me — but it is not for me, it’s for those who come after. And when you’re employee-owned that matters a lot. Over my 20+ years in the industry, I've seen positive changes — we’ve always bubbled around the 50/50 male/female ratio in our studio, but when I started out the women were largely in account management and almost all the designers were men. Now, female designers are actually being designers. Being directors. They're not just at the table, they're leading conversations. Shifts can and do happen, and as a business we’ll continue to care about the value that a good mix of people brings across the studio. The day may come when we no longer need to say ‘female-founded’. But for now, it hopes to inspire in anyone the sense that they too can be a leader”. #IWD #IWD2024 #Internationalwomensday #investinwomen #accelerateprogress #london #placebranding

Why the need for #internationalwomensday in 2024? It's worth remembering not that long ago (in my lifetime) women had to have a male guarantor to get a mortgage- mainly due to the gender pay gap and outdated attitudes. In some countries, women couldn't have a bank account. Up until even more recently (90s) medical trials were all based on men, meaning we have no real idea how 80% of the drugs we still use today, actually effect women's bodies and health. Here and now in 2024 the pay gap still exists, women are still under-represented in leadership roles and due to life circumstances and biology (dropping out of the workforce to have children, the cost of childcare and impact on careers) many women find themselves in pension poverty. And this is just in first world countries! So yes, #IWD is an important reminder to us all, that there is still much more work to do. Be part of the solution. #investinwomen #inspireinclusion
Diversity in leadership roles has been proven to benefit business. While change in the commercial real estate industry has been slow to materialize, the increasing numbers of women in proptech may signal the start of a shift towards a more inclusive real estate landscape. https://co.jll/3V9Jelb Ajey Kaushal, Anne-Lyse R. #internationalwomensday #inspireinclusion #investinwomen #realestate
