PHARMACY. 🥒 In the world of healthcare, where every detail matters, pharmacies are where care meets compassion. From the moment a patient walks in to pick up their prescription, to the follow-up questions about side effects or proper use of a medication, every interaction carries the potential to make a real difference in someone's life. As pharmacy professionals, whether you're a pharmacist, pharmacy technician, or part of the support team, your role is crucial. You are not just dispensers of medication — you are **guides, educators, and trusted healthcare partners**. Your work goes beyond filling prescriptions; it's about ensuring that each patient leaves with confidence in their care, knowing that they have the right medication at the right time, and the support to use it safely and effectively. The path you walk is not always easy. It requires precision, patience, and a deep understanding of both science and human connection. But the impact you have is immeasurable. You help patients lead healthier, more informed lives, and for that, you are appreciated every single day. In moments of challenge or stress, remember why you chose this field: to make a difference in health, to provide a listening ear, and to offer your expertise when it's needed most. You are the unsung heroes who ensure the healthcare system keeps moving forward, one prescription at a time. Thank you for your dedication, your expertise, and the care you show every day. The work you do matters — not just in the pharmacy, but in the lives of every patient you serve. #PharmacyProfession #PatientCare #PharmacyLife #MakingADifference

So many folks don't understand the full scope of what a pharmacy technician does or can do! I know a lot of people essentially see technicians as a glorified cashier- but that couldn't be further from the truth! As a pharmacy technician I have managed a database of hundreds patients across 7 or 8 mental health clinics to aid in helping patients address barriers to adherence for their medications. I have created STAT IV medications for folks who are suffering from stroke symptoms to help bust their clots and for babies in the NICU who needed intravenous treatment. I've also compounded parenteral nutrition for folks having long term stays in hospitals. I have helped patients troubleshoot insurance and coverage issues. I've also helped to maintain stock and decrease pharmacy waste. And don't get me started on hazardous waste handling! Enabling a pharmacy technician to practice at the top of their licensure also enables pharmacists to practice at the top of their licenses, too! #pharmacytechnician #cpht #pharmacy #healthcare

Pharmacists are Responsibility Hoarders. We keep trying to add on new duties, new identities, and new roles without shedding our previous ones. Did creating the "All PharmD" help or hurt this? How do our patients interpret what we really do and does the education support this? I (and others) believe it's time to consider a tiered degree system with a career path beyond a technician and before a Doctor of Pharmacy (pharmacist assistant, advanced pharmacy technician, or Bachelor's of Pharmacy). With all the buzz about competency-based-education and standard of care...this may just be the perfect time. https://lnkd.in/enBb32WC
