The brightonSEO UK ballot opens next week! There's now just over a week until the ballot opens for FREE TICKETS to the next UK edition of brightonSEO, happening April 10-11. If you’d like a free ticket for April's conference you'll have 48 hours from noon next Wednesday to register your interest. Once that window shuts we'll randomly select people to give them to, and tell you if you've won one. Ballot tickets are valid for one day only. When you enter the ballot you can specify which date you’d prefer or let us pick one at random. Whichever you get your ticket will include entry to that day's Hero Conf, as it makes its return to the UK. If you're on our mailing list - and if not, why not? - we'll notify you there the moment the form is live. We'll of course be making some noise about it here as well. Department for Culture, Media and Sport and Department for Business and Trade have launched a consultation today (10th January 2025) on new measures to protect fans relating to ticket pricing and reselling. The consultation is seeking evidence from the general public (link below to the press release), together with a call for evidence from the live events sector (they note "For the purposes of this call for evidence, the live events sector refers to a broad range of events, including music concerts, sports events, theatre performances, festivals, and other live entertainment experiences."
