This Reconciliation Week we learned about the essence of acknowledging Country with the help of Acknowledge This! Many of us know that an Acknowledgment of Country is a way of showing respect for the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work and play. This week, we learned more about how communicating a heartfelt recognition of the rich heritage and enduring resilience of First Nations peoples through an Acknowledgment of Country connects all of us to the land and each other. It is so much more than a ‘tick a box’ process. For those of you who've ever pondered the significance of an Acknowledgment, questioned its authenticity, or felt unsure about when and how to deliver one, this workshop from Acknowledge This! is a beacon of clarity. It confronts the challenges head-on, addresses common queries and fears, and paves the way for crafting a personalised Acknowledgment rooted in sincerity and respect. Thanks to Rhys Paddick and Emma Gibbens for supporting our reconciliation journey. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gWTwrwV
