The story of Bhanu, our rising sun 🌞 Born with polio affecting her legs, Bhanu Ji faced early hurdles in her journey. Despite setbacks, she pursued education up to the 10th grade. However, an unexpected failure in exams left her disheartened. Undeterred, she found solace in special classes for the disabled, where she honed her skills in tailoring, transforming her hobby into a profession. Bhanu Ji's indomitable spirit propelled her to become a National level Paralympics swimming champion, defying naysayers who doubted her abilities. She proved them wrong by mastering the use of a motorized sewing machine, turning sewing into her source of livelihood. Bhanu Ji's journey took a transformative turn when she joined the Super Didi program by Srujna. This initiative empowered her to work on herself, embrace self-reliance, and assertively value her time and skills. Under the guidance of Vaishali Gandhi Shah she learned to prioritize her well-being and enhance her communication skills. Srujna also provided her with a new sewing machine which doubled Bhanu Ji's monthly income. Fueled by her dreams of empowering other disabled women, she aspires to start her own business, offering employment opportunities and serving as a source of inspiration. Beyond her own success, Bhanu Ji remains deeply engaged with Srujna, serving as a mentor to Superdidis in ongoing batches. Additionally, she actively contributes to Project Maitri, leveraging her skills in stitching to earn a livelihood while making a positive impact in her community. Bhanu Ji's journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, gratitude, and service. Her unwavering determination and commitment to empowering others serve as a guiding light for us all.
