Seeking a life filled with purpose, peace, and well-being? Yoga offers a powerful journey beyond just physical postures. The 8 Limbs of Yoga (Ashtanga Yoga) guide you through a transformative experience. Practices like pranayama (breathwork) and meditation calm the mind, while asanas (postures) strengthen the body and nurture self-awareness. As you progress, the higher limbs—dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), and samadhi (enlightenment)—lead you toward spiritual growth and self-realization. Integrating the 8 Limbs of Yoga (Ashtanga Yoga) into your life isn't merely about finding fleeting peace or mastering challenging poses. It's about cultivating lasting transformation, fostering self-improvement, and achieving inner peace, mental clarity, and physical well-being on multiple levels. devi.bheem@gmail.com

Many of my clients are invited to do 15 minutes of Yin Yoga a day for 14 days, based on experimental research that it reduces the production of the stress chemical adrenomedullin, created during periods of stress, anxiety or low mood. It’s also hoped that starting the yoga journey will inspire them to explore a deeper understanding that a yoga lifestyle can be life changing if the timing is right, leading to a renewed sense of emotional wellbeing and better mental health. 5 Points of Yoga – Swami Vishnu-Devandanda Asanas- Movement Pranayama- Proper Breathing Savasana- Deep Relaxation Proper Diet- Pure (Sattvic) foods Vedanta- Positive Thinking Dhyana- Meditation instagram: @drangelamooney

For years, I've witnessed the transformative power of Yoga, and a big part of that magic lies in Pranayama and yogic breathing techniques. Ever notice your breath quicken and become shallow when stressed? That's the mind-body connection in action! By controlling your breath, you can directly influence your mental state. Pranayama offers a toolbox of techniques, not a one-size-fits-all approach, allowing us to tailor practices to individual needs. An ancient Yogic text beautifully says, "Chale vaate chalam chitam, nishchale nishchalam bave, yogi sthanatvam aapnoti jato vayam nirodhayeet"✨ Which translates to "however your mind goes, so does your breath, & if you can restrain your breath, you can restrain your mind also." This powerful quote highlights the deep link between our breath and mental well-being. By focusing on calming our breath, we can soothe our minds and emotions. In Yoga therapy, we utilize various Pranayama techniques to achieve this very goal. Do you ever struggle with managing stress or anxiety? Share your experiences in the comments below, and let's explore how Pranayama can help you breathe easier and live a more balanced life! #yogavijnana #pranayama #breathwork #mentalhealth #yoga #yogatherapy #wellbeing
