Time management is often discussed, but Kevin Kruse's book offers fresh, practical insights. Drawing on the habits of 7 billionaires, 13 Olympic athletes, 29 straight-A students, and 239 entrepreneurs, Kruse reveals essential secrets to mastering time. Inspired by Hal Elrod's "Life S.A.V.E.R.S" concept, here are key takeaways: S - Silence: Start your day with silence or meditation to clear your mind and set a focused tone. A - Affirmations: Use positive affirmations to stay motivated and aligned with your goals. V - Visualization: Visualize your success and the completion of key tasks to boost motivation. E - Exercise: Daily physical activity boosts energy and productivity. R - Reading: Dedicate time to learning and gaining new insights. S - Scribing: Keep a journal to document thoughts and track progress. Personal Example: I start my day with a few minutes of silence and visualization. This simple practice has significantly improved my focus and productivity. Kruse's strategies are actionable and can significantly enhance productivity. If you're looking to transform your time management skills, this book is a must-read. #TimeManagement #Productivity #SuccessHabits #LifeSAVERS #PersonalDevelopment #KevinKruse #Mindfulness #DailyRoutine #SelfImprovement #BookSummary #Leadership #Focus #Motivation #GoalSetting #Innovation #Management #Productivity #PersonalDevelopment #Motivation #Leadership

Ever wondered why you never achieve your goals? Lack of focus, drive, reason? Actually what you need are time management tools to help you build good habits. Here's are some of my favorite productivity tools 🎯 Pomodoro Technique - Break work into 25 min focused intervals with 5 min breaks. 🎯Timeboxing: (my favorite). Identify the non-negotiables and locked them in first 🎯 Eat the frog: Do the hardest task first in the morning to boost productivity and reduce procrastination (I exercise first thing in the morning) 🎯 1-3-5 method: (I fully subscribe to this). Break down your day into 1 major task, 3 medium tasks and 5 smaller tasks (I timebox session to bunch up the 5 smaller tasks) For more suggestions, check out the graphics below. Do you have tools that has helped you build new habits? Do share. #Futureofwork #CareerTransition #Reinvent #CreateFutureYou #community ----------- I'm Adeline Tiah 謝善嫻 a corporate leader turned REINVENT coach to empower professionals to unlock success and thrive in uncertainty. 💡 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 💡 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 🎯 It doesn’t really matter whether you use OKRs, SMART goals, or BHAGs—the science is clear: setting goals sharpens focus, aligns teams, and boosts motivation. Here's a picture of me completing the Big Half last year 🏃♂️ (I didn't run it in flip flops). Fitness is a part of my routine, I enjoy playing sports and staying active, however, even on my best days, my motivation to exercise is often lukewarm. I frequently find myself weighing the value of an extra hour of sleep, a social outing, or time with my kids over a workout. But something changed last week. I (semi-accidentally) signed up for the Brighton Marathon, and suddenly, having a goal to strive for transformed my approach. That sense of purpose had me lacing up my running shoes with newfound enthusiasm. 𝗠𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲? As a manager, set clearly defined SMART goals with your team. These goals aren’t just about tracking progress—they’re about providing direction and motivation. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹-𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱. 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵-𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝟰-𝟲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀! 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲! 🥇 And maybe one day I'll fork out for the official photos 😂 #smartgoals #goalsetting #motivation

How my body transformation program was surprisingly effective at improving my management skills! 🏋♂️ Several years ago after I had left a job that didn't work out, I took advantage of my extra time to pursue a body transformation challenge that I had always wanted to do, but never got around to doing it. What I didn't expect was that doing this would actually strengthen my management skills too. It turned out to be one of the most effective ways of "getting back to the basics" of management that I could imagine. #projectmanagement Let's take a look at some things that go into a body transformation project: AN INTANGIBLE GOAL: HOW do you want to look in the mirror, or WHO do you want to look (or be) like? Having an intangible goal creates momentum and feeds the unconscious drive. #goals TANGIBLE GOALS AND KPIs: weight, x% body fat percentage, achieving "golden" measurements, add x% lean muscle, abs! KPIs: Lose x pounds per week, Keep Total Daily Energy Expenditure within limits for your BMI, look better in the mirror (also important!), add x% to your weight lifted per month. Tangible goals are needed to give you a target. #kpis Metrics: Calories, Macros, training results. There are tons of apps and tools, but I ended up creating my own spreadsheet for this, and added my favorite foods into it. Tools help you to measure your progress. #metrics THE WORK, THE FEEDBACK, THE ADJUSTMENTS - Regular Strength Training at the Gym 💪 (ok there was some cardio) #training Research, creation and constant optimization of routines. Peaks (PRs), valleys (with injuries etc), and plateaus (oh those are tough but you gotta love 'em). All of this mimics the day-to-day work that you are doing, but in the most basic, essential way - using your body and getting the most out of it is one of the most basic feedback systems you can have about the work you are putting in. ACCOUNTABILITY You need to work through all the challenges. The best part though is, once you start seeing the results it creates a virtuous cycle of motivation for you to keep going until you reach your goal! The same is true in any project you are doing. See the results and build momentum. Accountability becomes effortless. #accountability The results. I achieved my goal of less than 10% body fat and built a lot of muscle at the same time. I felt really good that I had done something I had put off for years (and that I could have easily put off some more) and learned the formula to getting fit. As a bonus, I reinforced my management skills in a completely different way. 😊
