Title: Celebrating World Sparrow Day 2024: Embracing Humanity and Harmony Slide 1: Introduction Welcome to our presentation celebrating World Sparrow Day 2024! Today, we honor the small yet significant beings that remind us of the virtues and qualities we cherish as humans. Slide 2: The Sparrows: Symbols of Beauty and Humanity Sparrows, those small, beautiful birds, have captured our hearts with their charm. Unfortunately, they have become increasingly rare, mirroring the fading visibility of essential human virtues in our society. Slide 3: The Call to Action Let's take a moment to reflect on the virtues the sparrows represent and how we can bring them back into prominence in our lives. Slide 4: Human Virtues Reflected in Sparrows Humane Existence: Like sparrows, let's embrace kindness and compassion in our interactions. Love, Caring & Sharing: Just as sparrows share food and care for one another, let's foster a culture of empathy and inclusivity. Peaceful Co-existence: Sparrows live harmoniously; let's strive for peaceful co-existence with all beings. Universal Brotherhood: Embracing the spirit of brotherhood, let's unite for the greater good of humanity. Truth, Honesty & Respect: Like the integrity of sparrows, let's uphold truth, honesty, and respect in all our dealings. Slide 5: World Sparrow Day 2024 Today, on World Sparrow Day, let's pledge to revive these virtues in our lives and communities. Together, we can create a world where humanity and harmony flourish, just like the chirping of sparrows in a serene morning. Slide 6: Conclusion As we celebrate World Sparrow Day 2024, let's remember the lessons these tiny birds teach us about living in harmony and embracing our shared humanity. Thank you for joining us in this celebration! Slide 7: "A Very Happy World Sparrow Day 2024" Let's spread the message of love, compassion, and unity on this special day dedicated to our feathered friends. Slide 8: Thank You! Any questions or thoughts? Let's discuss how we can continue to embody the spirit of World Sparrow Day beyond this presentation.

Some powerful R-words in these two paragraphs ... "Many Elders recommend that humans #reindigenise to Earth in specifically emplaced ways, by committing to some worldview concepts that are very different from those that westernised peoples are accustomed to. Traditional and indigenous Elders, teachings, and elements of worldview conceive of the human being as a responsive, moral, intuitive, perceptive, and instinctual being that is a part of a complex web of kincentric relations. Respectful engagement with Elder wisdom, long ignored, is our first step. In pursuing planetary futurity, I engage with these voices in order to trace a path toward a renewed Earth community. "Traditional human values of #respect, #responsibility, #reciprocity, #redistribution, and #reverence, as based upon #relationships, can be reignited as guiding principles in our communities, but only if we engage in processes of unlearning and #remembering who we are as humans. To this end, I outline a framework for worldview transformation, as a component of necessary decolonisation and #rematriation processes." #resilience #renewal #regeneration https://lnkd.in/gVe5ihgc

I can't recommend enough the work, the warmth, and the wisdom behind Darcia Narvaez's experience. This 13-minute interview gives us many clues about the root of the #metacrisis and possible #regeneration processes as I understand it. That is to stop harming and heal what is damaged. Prevention & Correction are the two complementary principles to respond to this metacrisis. Follow Darcia Narvaez and her work in "The Evolved Nest"

While reading "Wild Mercy: Living the Fierce and Tender Wisdom of the Women Mystics," by Mirabai Star, I was reminded of The Earth Charter, a document created in 1999, listing 16 principles to empower a global movement toward a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world. I thought it worthwhile to post as a reminder of the admirable efforts of the recent past to preserve the beautiful diversity of our planet. Posted below is an excerpt from the preamble, followed by a link to the full document, available in 65 languages. Preamble: We stand at a critical moment in Earth’s history, a time when humanity must choose its future. As the world becomes increasingly interdependent and fragile, the future at once holds great peril and great promise. To move forward we must recognize that in the midst of a magnificent diversity of cultures and life forms we are one human family and one Earth community with a common destiny. We must join together to bring forth a sustainable global society founded on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace. Towards this end, it is imperative that we, the peoples of Earth, declare our responsibility to one another, to the greater community of life, and to future generations.
