The article is very enlightening and help readers to understand challenges related to both offline and on line exams. The suggestion of innovation especially not relying only on these exams seems important for me.However, In my opinion this can have potential to create more subjectivity. The recruitment of assistant professors in state universities of Uttar Pradesh is one important example in the context.This has written exam, academic accomplishments and interviews as method of selection. Interview has been given too much weightage, This has given scope to Vice Chancellor of respective university ies to select anyone without consideration of other two.

Exams are gateways to branded education systems which signal quality assurances to the job market. As long as there is a need for branded education, there will be markets, economies, and market failures. Cheating, ragging, and suicides are outcomes of a market driven education system that fosters 'winner take all' attitude.
