This is my letter to 18 year old Akanksha. She hardly managed to pass her 12th Exam! Hey Beautiful, You might be restless right now! And that's okay. But let me know what's not okay! 1. STOP blaming others or situations because you couldn't do well. 2. STOP comparing yourself with others, they got something because they worked for it. 3. STOP thinking you're not good enough because you couldn't crack IIT-JEE mains. 4. STOP stressing on what others think about you. You have no control over it. 5. STOP wasting your time and energy over temporary things that make you feel better. There's endless opportunity out there. Just think for a while: What you really want to do! What's that you're passionate about? Don't be scared to start learning something and to restart all over again if required. Going to IIT/IIM definitely gives you pool full of opportunities. But these colleges don't guarantee a good character! Most importantly fail as much as you can and show up every time! That's what will build your True character. So, Work on yourself, find ways to enhance your learning. Sharpening your skills, learn Breath work, Swiming, Dancing and Travel as much as you can! Everytime you feel like giving up, RESTART! I'm thrilled to share the successful execution of our Fresh Teacher Training Program (FTTP) at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya, Hailakandi, Assam. Placements at IITs are down by 20-30% accross #iits. A new batch of students is in counseling and choosing for their colleges. Hence an important question to think about is does IIT Tag really matter or add value? While most of the studies are subjective , an interesting research by Prithwiraj Choudhury , Ina Ganguli and Patrick Gaule scientifically evaluates how useful is the IIT Brand? Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi , Varanasi graduates saw a significant improvements in the chances of getting to a foreign school after it became an #iit . The research has scientifically formulated the parameters that affect migration of students. Most of it is #brand value and the alumni network. IITs standout in both the parameters.
