I don't know what is beyond Moore's law, but what's now more clear than ever, is that AI and machine learning is only at its initial stages today. They're still toddlers. But toddlers that are challenging adult humans already. There are hundreds of billions of dollars being pumped in to this, and the people pumping the money obviously want a return on their investment. Another thing that's parallelly beginning to happen (as a result of hundreds of billions being pumped into the creation and oiling of social media and streaming platforms) is the downfall of our cognitive abilities.. or higher cognitive overload particularly in humans who are living a second life as full time consumers of content on social media platforms. This overload is translating to mental illnesses. There's enough literature to read on this. Social media isn't regulated anywhere near how its supposed to be, so even kids have access to it, you can see kids in your own families shoving their faces to their parent's phones. Its come to a point where they get irritated immediately if you take the phone away from them. I've seen it in my family, i've seen it in other places too. Parents aren't really being mindful of the screentime, and their own screentime! Both the parent and the child are potential patients of mental disorders. Why did i talk about social media? We are witnessing the rise of automation to such standards where bots are learning at unimaginable speeds, and humans are bombarded with information and content every single second of their lives leading to them living inside a bubble that is made of screens. Being bombarded with information doesn't have to mean we are learning at the speed of AI. In fact quite the opposite, the overload of information and content is making us tired, angry, stressed, indecisive, anxious, depressed. Because we are governed by our emotions. Because we have a nervous system to take care of and to regulate. Because we are living, breathing beings. Bots cannot worry about anything, because they don't come with that function of worrying... or having feelings of any kind. Whereas humans can even be found to be worrying about worrying itself. Bots do make great replacement for labour. It makes business sense. What also makes perfect sense is to actually take radical steps towards quitting the habit of shoving our faces into our phones. For our own sake.
