Let's leave the stage to Pascale: "One of the challenges facing the regulatory team today continues to be the lack of harmonization between countries. While authorities around the world are making efforts to harmonize standards and procedures in different regions, there still seems to be a long way to go. At the same time, regulatory requirements are constantly increasing. This can easily be seen from the fact that new important issues arise every two to three years, which usually lead to major efforts for the industry. I experience this situation particularly with Chinese regulations, which are constantly evolving, with new regulations and medicinal products appearing regularly. Keeping up with these changes is a challenge, but crucial for companies operating in the Chinese market to stay up-to-date. In any case, an important tool is having a close relationship with a local RA expert who can help with more than just overcoming the language barrier. In such a rapidly evolving scenario, I think the important skills of a regulatory affairs professional today should include curiosity, a passion for challenges, and strong problem-solving skills."
