Using technology to improve the diagnostic accuracy of cognitive assessments for preclinical Alzheimer’s disease 2. Developing inclusive and remote outpatient neurorehabilitation services through the use of digital technology, mathematical modelling and machine learning 3. Supporting differential diagnosis and supporting neurotechnological solutions for management of functional neurological disorder and paroxysmal neurological events On Day 1, the three challenge themes will be presented by the nominating stakeholder. Researchers will work collaboratively in a hackathon style on the challenge(s) that most interest them to co-create innovative solutions. By the end of the event, teams will present their solution to date and receive feedback from the room. Following the event, the newly formed collaborative groupings will be invited to submit light-touch proposals to N-CODE for follow on pump-priming funding of up to £40,000 per project. This pump-priming funding will enable the development of pilot data or prototypes suitable for publication and application for significant onward funding. Some time ago, my best friend, Liz Lesemann, passed away due to the horrible disease #ALS. I must confess that I haven't cried this much at a conference. Today, I was honored to witness a technological advance that helped those affected by this disease. Today, I saw this fantastic technology that Luís from Unbabel Labs and Sumner L Norman. Norman, Co-founder and CEO of Forest Neurotech, and Vasco Pedro, Co-founder and Chief Executive of Unbabel Labs, demonstrated how Unbabel Halo can facilitate real-time conversations for ALS patients. Combining #GenerativeAI with a non-invasive neural interface allows Unbabel Halo to transform bio-signals into language, allowing ALS patients to reconnect with their loved ones!

I couldn't be more excited and grateful today to share Boston University's launch of SEQSTER's 1-Click Records™ to aid in development of early Alzheimer's screening tool at #AAIC2024. The modern era of #AlzheimersResearch has arrived, bringing new hope and #innovation for the millions of patients and families living with the disease. Part of this optimism derives from the incredible advances in the #biomarkers and #diagnostics landscape. Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Scott, the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation and Dolby Family partnered with the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation to launch the #DiagnosticsAccelerator (DxA), a $100M global research initiative, to advance bold ideas for easier, more accurate and earlier diagnosis. To date, the DA has invested nearly $60 million in 58 projects spanning across #bloodtests, #retinal scans and #digital tools, laying the groundwork for affordable and accessible diagnostics to come to market in the near future. Only with an early and accurate diagnosis, can we move towards a future of tailoring personalized treatment plans for patients based on their individual biomarker profile. 📢 🔊 Share our recent work on Multi-Task Learning for Alzheimer's Disease Progression Prediction, published at IEEE TKDE. This is achieved by a first-year PhD student Menghui Zhou from our team. A key issue in the progression prediction of AD is how to capture the intricate temporal relations among tasks. To address this, this work proposes a novel mechanism, namely Automatic Temporal relation Graph (AutoTG) and incorporates it into the MTL.
