Celebrating a decade of innovation! In 2013, the ATLAS and CMS experiments at CERN united to form the RD53 Collaboration, with the ambitious goal of designing critical read-out chips for their upgrades. Over ten years, RD53 developed novel electronics technology that culminated in the development of advanced pixel read-out chips for both experiments. On 24 June 2024, at a special awards ceremony in CERN’s Main Auditorium, the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations marked this important achievement with a special recognition of the RD53 Collaboration.
