Today we're going to be installing the Monogram siding. Before we start installing our Monogram siding, we have to remember when installing the Monogram or any vinyl siding, we have to leave 1/4 of an inch gap into the accessories, whether it be an outside corner, inside corner, or around windows and doors. However, if the temperature is below 40, we need to leave 3/8 to allow for expansion and contraction. This panel is 12 foot three and can be installed from the left to the right or the right to the left. When using the Monogram siding, you must use the 2 1/2 inch metal starter to make it a complete system. So when installing our Monogram siding using the metal starter, you can hear it click in the place. Remember when installing vinyl siding we need that quarter of an inch gap in the pocket. Unless the temperatures below 40 we need 3/8. With all Certainteed siding, we have stud Finder the letters or ink jetted underneath each nail slot. So for example, if a stud falls here and it falls on the letter U, you're going to go to the repeating letter U. That's automatically 16 inches. That's where you're going to put a fastener. If the stud falls on the S, you go to the next S. Now the important thing here is on this lap, we always lap siding factory edge to factory edge. We never want no more than 1 1/4 inches of overlap. On from peace to peace. Now, when we install this piece, we're still installing to the studs, however, because these letters don't coincide with these letters per piece. Now we have to pull a tape from here to here, wherever 16 inches is to find our stud because this piece will be a different letter than what this piece is. Now. We're going to use the N, then we'll go from N to N per piece. However, if you use our weather barrier, you can see that stud finders ink jetted on the House wrap itself. So where we use the letters per piece of vinyl here, if our house Rep goes a whole say 30 feet across the wall, once we find the stud that falls on a tee, it'll be on every tee going across the complete wall. So one of the unique features about the monogram siding. Is the fact that when you install the monogram and you put it in place, you can literally hear it click? Into place. And it'll stay on its own. One person can install this siding without needing a person on either end. So on our next course, we cut it down so that this seam. Is 3 feet away from the previous course. And also we want three courses before this seam would repeat. So now that we've talked about the specifics of the Monogram install, you're gonna just keep repeating moving up the wall, keeping our seams separated till you get to the top. And when you get to the top, you can go to our website and or go to our installation manual to see all the different options that are available for finishing the last course.

World record = pit stop perfection‼️ Implementing lean thinking in F1 🏎️ …
Teamwork & practice make Champions….visualization how effective the Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) lean approach can be in reducing changeovers.
It allows for shorter batch sizes and thus reduces throughput time.
As in a formula one pit stop, there are internal and external elements:
➡️ Internal elements:
These are all the process steps that need to be done while the machine (or race car 🏎️) is stoped.
➡️ External elements:
These are all the process steps that you can prepare before, while the machine is still producing parts.
In those pit stop Videos we mostly see only the internal processes. But it would be even more interesting to see all the preparations for the pit stop and all the checklists that are accomplished before the driver is even arriving.
✅ Preparation is key
✅ Use precise locations for everything:
The car drives in and stops in a precisely marked position.
✅ Follow a standardized procedure:
These exist for all common scenarios; wheel change, nose cone replacement, punctures, cleaning rubbish from the air intakes..
✅ Practise, practise, practise:
The crew practise their set procedures as a team and individuals practise specific skills. The crew on the high speed air guns practise getting on the nut first time. The jack men practise clean lifts.
✅ Adapt the equipment:
The most frequently damaged parts are designed with quick changeovers is mind. On the nose cone, a quick release catch is used instead of multiple sets of time consuming bolts.
The front and rear jacks have quick release levers as no powered device can be used.
✅ ✅ Never stop looking for #waste:
The length of time for F1 pit stops has changed drastically over the years.

Preparation is key in lean thinking for pit stops because it ensures efficiency and effectiveness. It involves planning both internal and external elements, like process steps that can be prepared before the machine stops. This meticulous preparation allows for shorter batch sizes, reducing throughput time, and ensures that every action during the pit stop is precise and standardized, leading to optimal performance and safety.

Is one of the top five failings of the driving instructor training and testing system a focus on hours, not performance based outcomes
How did this eventuate where performance based outcomes weren’t the measurement of standard or success?
Is there enough evidence to prove GLS was a failed theory thinking you’ll learn after you start driving on your own, which is a kin to thinking you’ll learn to pack the parachute after you have jumped

Practice makes SMED champions‼️ Classic, how lean techniques are used in formula1. Emphasizing especially the preparation and standardization
➡️ Preparation before the stop is key
The crew discuss and clarify their targets the night before the race.
➡️ Use precise locations for everything
The car drives in and stops in a precisely marked position. This ensures it is jacked straight up with no time lost adjusting
➡️ Follow a standardized procedure
These exist for all common scenarios; wheel change, nose cone replacement, punctures, cleaning rubbish from the air intakes..
➡️ Practise, practise, practise
The crew practise their set procedures as a team and individuals practise specific skills. The crew on the high speed air guns practise getting on the nut first time. The jack men practise clean lifts.
➡️ Adapt the equipment
